The Merrimack Warriors men's basketball team represents Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts, United States. The school's team currently competes in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. They are currently led by 9th year head coach Joe Gallo and play their home games in Hammel Court at the Merrimack Athletics Complex.

Contents

In their first year at the Division 1 level, the 2019–20 team went 14–4 in NEC play and won the regular season title, despite in the preseason being picked by the media to finish 11th out of 11 teams. Due to the NCAA's policy on reclassifying programs, the Warriors were not eligible to compete in the NCAA tournament or the NIT until the 2023–24 season.

The team was coached by Mark Dennehy, in his 10th season with the Warriors. The Warriors played their home games at Lawler Arena on campus in North Andover, Massachusetts, competing in Hockey East. The Warriors finished the season with a record of 16–18–4, 5–14–3 in Hockey East play to finish in 11th place. The qualified for the 2015 Hockey East Men's Ice Hockey Tournament, where they were eliminated in the quarterfinals by Boston University.

The team participates in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), having joined following the 2023–2024 academic school year. They finished the season 14–16, 10–8 in NEC play to finish in fourth place.

The 2022 Northeast Conference men's basketball tournament was the postseason men's basketball tournament for the Northeast Conference (NEC) for the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The tournament took place on four dates between February 28 and March 8, 2022, with each game hosted by the higher-seeded school. The tournament winner, the Bryant Bulldogs, received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament, the first for the Bulldogs. This was also Bryant's final season in the NEC, as the school joined the America East Conference that July.

The 2022–23 UMass Lowell River Hawks Men's ice hockey season was the 56th season of play for the program, the 40th competing at the Division I level and 39th in Hockey East. The River Hawks represented the University of Massachusetts Lowell in the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey season, were coached by Norm Bazin in his 12th season and played their home games at Tsongas Center.

The Warriors, led by eighth-year head coach Joe Gallo, played their home games at Hammel Court, with some games at Lawler Arena, located in North Andover, Massachusetts, as members of the Northeast Conference (NEC). They finished the season 21–12, 13–3 in NEC play, to finish in a tie for the regular-season championship. As the No. 2 seed in the NEC tournament, they defeated LIU and Le Moyne before losing to Wagner in the championship game.
