Michael Henry is a Jamaican politician. He has been the Minister of Transport and Works in Jamaica since 2007 and submitted his resignation as Minister of Transport and works on 29 November 2011. This resignation was tendered because of the controversy over the Jamaican Infrastructural Development Program (JDIP) of which he was overseeing.

Michael Henry was born in Spanish Town St. Catherine and is the son of the late Lester Osmond Henry and Lucille Leon Henry. He is an author/publisher by profession and is Chairman of Kingston Publishers Ltd. He is currently the member of parliament for Central Clarendon and has been the member of parliament for that constituency since 1980, making him one of the longest-serving members of parliament. Percival Noel James Patterson, ON, PC, QC, is a Jamaican former politician who served as the sixth Prime Minister of Jamaica from 1992 to 2006. He was the leader of the People's National Party from 1992 to 2006, and the Member of Parliament (MP) for the constituency of Westmoreland South Eastern from 1970 to 1980 and again from 1989 to 1993. Following a constituency reorganization, he served as the MP for Westmoreland Eastern from 1993 to 2006. He retired from all of these positions in March 2006. He was married to Shirley Field-Ridley with whom he had two children, Richard and Sharon.

Andrew Michael Holness, ON, MP is a Jamaican politician who has been the Prime Minister of Jamaica since 3 March 2016, following the 25 February 2016 general election. Holness previously served as Prime Minister from October 2011 to January 5, 2012. He succeeded Bruce Golding as Prime Minister, and decided to go to the polls in the 29 December 2011 general election in an attempt to get his own mandate from the Jamaican electorate. He failed in that bid, however, losing badly to the People's National Party led by Portia Simpson-Miller, with the PNP gaining 42 seats to the Jamaica Labour Party's 21. Following that defeat, Holness served as Leader of the Opposition from January 2012 to March 2016, when he once again assumed the position of Prime Minister.
