North Adelaide Football Club, nicknamed The Roosters, is an Australian rules football club affiliated with the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) and SANFL Women's League (SANFLW). The club plays its home games at Prospect Oval, located in Prospect, a northern suburb of Adelaide. The club joined the SAFA in 1888 as the Medindie Football Club, changing its name to North Adelaide in 1893. It is the fourth oldest club still in operation in the SANFL after South Adelaide (1877), Port Adelaide (1877) and Norwood (1878). North Adelaide's first premiership was won in 1900, and the club has won a total of fourteen senior men's premierships in the SANFL, most recently in 2018.
Kenneth Michael Stabler was an American professional football player who was a quarterback in the National Football League (NFL) for 17 seasons, primarily with the Oakland Raiders. Nicknamed "Snake", he played college football at Alabama and was selected by the Raiders in the second round of the 1968 NFL Draft. During his 10 seasons in Oakland, Stabler received four Pro Bowl selections and was named Most Valuable Player in 1974. Stabler also helped the Raiders win their first Super Bowl title in Super Bowl XI. He was posthumously inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2016.

He is also the 2nd all-time top try-scorer for the Australian national team with 33, two behind Darren Lockyer's 35. Kenneth Joseph Preston was a Canadian football player, coach and executive. He played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, Winnipeg Blue Bombers, and Ottawa Rough Riders. He was the Head Coach of the Saskatchewan Roughriders from 1946 to 1947. From 1958 to 1978, he was the Roughriders' General Manager. He was inducted into the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame in 1980 and the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 1990. He also was inducted into the Roughriders' plaza of honor in 1987. From 1962 until his retirement in 1979, they made the playoffs every year.
