The Ministry of Internal Affairs is a government ministry of the Republic of Macedonia. The current minister is Oliver Spasovski. Assigned to the ministry are a Public Security Bureau and a Security and Counterintelligence Administration. The ministry has existed since 1944.
Oliver Spasovski is the current Interior Minister of Macedonia. He is general secretary of the Social Democratic Union of Macedonia SDSM.

The Lions was a special police unit for fast interventions formed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of North Macedonia in 2001. It was dissolved in 2004.

The Army of the Republic of Macedonia is a defense force consisting of an army and air force; it is responsible for defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of North Macedonia. Since 2005, the Army is a fully professional defense force compatible with NATO standards.
The foreign relations of North Macedonia since its independence in 1991 have been characterized by the country's efforts to gain membership in international organizations such as NATO and the European Union and to gain international recognition under its constitutional name, overshadowed by a long-standing, dead-locked dispute with neighboring Greece. Greek objections to the country's name have led to it being admitted to the United Nations and several other international fora only under the provisional designation Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.

The St. Clement of Ohrid University of Bitola is the second Macedonian state university located mainly in Bitola, with faculties in Prilep, Ohrid, Veles, Kichevo and Skopje. It was founded on 25 April 1979, but the name of St. Clement of Ohrid was not given until late 1994. The number of enrolled students exceeds 15,000.
The Voras Mountains, also known as Nidže are a mountain range situated on the border between Greece and the Republic of North Macedonia. It separates the Pella regional unit on the Greek side in the south from the Mariovo region on the Republic of North Macedonia side in the north. The tallest peak in the range is Kaimakchalan at 2,524 m (8,281 ft). Adjacent peaks are Starkov grob and Dobro Pole.

The FON University is a private university with headquarters in Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia. It is the second private university established in the Republic of North Macedonia, after the liberalization of the High education law's in 2002. After its establishment great number of professors from the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje transferred to the new university and contributed to building a better educational system in Republic of Macedonia.
Television in North Macedonia was first introduced in 1964; it remains the most popular news medium. The public broadcaster is the Macedonian Radio-Television, founded in 1993. TEKO TV (1989) from Štip is the first private television channel in the country. Other popular private channels are: Sitel, Kanal 5, Telma, Alfa TV, and Alsat-M.Most private media are tied to political or business interests and state media tend to support the government. Public broadcast networks face stiff competition from commercial stations, which dominate the ratings. A European Union sponsored report says that with scores of TV and radio networks, the market is overcrowded and many local broadcasters are struggling to survive financially.

The University of Information Science and Technology (UIST) "St. Paul The Apostle" is a state university, located in Ohrid, the Republic of North Macedonia.
The Administration for Security and Counterintelligence, commonly referred to by the acronym UBK, is the domestic counterintelligence and security agency of the North Macedonia. Its headquarters are located in Skopje, and the agency is under jurisdiction of the North Macedonian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The Intelligence Agency of Republic of North Macedonia was set up as a separate body of state administration under the Law on the Intelligence Agency adopted in April 1995.
The Military Service for Security and Intelligence of North Macedonia is an intelligence office within the Ministry of Defence of North Macedonia.
The Rangers Battalion is a Special operations force in the Special Operations Regiment of ARM of Macedonia. It consists of the former Reconnaissance battalion and the Parachuting squad as well as servicemen from other ARM units.
The Ceremonial Guard Battalion is a military unit of the Macedonian Military. The mission of the Ceremonial Guard Battalion is to perform military honors for all events regulated by the rules of engagement in ARNM, as well as maintaining the combat readiness of the Ceremonial Guard Battalion units at the highest level.
