Ministry of Radhosps of the Ukrainian SSR was a government ministry in charge of sovkhozes (state farms) in Ukraine that existed in 1947 to 1957. In 1957 merged with the existing Ministry of Agriculture.
Édouard Marie Herriot was a French Radical politician of the Third Republic who served three times as Prime Minister and twice as President of the Chamber of Deputies. He led the first Cartel des Gauches. Under the Fourth Republic, he served as President of the National Assembly until 1954. An historian by occupation, Herriot was elected to the Académie Française's eighth seat in 1946. He served as Mayor of Lyon for more than 45 years, from 1905 until his death, except for a brief period from 1940 to 1945, when he was exiled to Germany for opposing the Vichy regime.

The Order of the Red Star was a military decoration of the Soviet Union. It was established by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of 6 April 1930 but its statute was only defined in decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of 5 May 1930. That statute was amended by decrees of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of 7 May 1936, of 19 June 1943, of 26 February 1946, of 15 October 1947, of 16 December 1947 and by decree No 1803-X of 28 March 1980.

Mary Virginia Beck was a Detroit Democratic Party politician, female activist and journalist from Pennsylvania, most notable for being Detroit's first female city council woman. She was also the first Ukrainian-American of Lemko descent to serve in that capacity. In 1957 she was also elected as the president of the city council. As a member of the council, Mary served for two decades from 1950 to 1970. In 1958-62 she also served as an acting mayor of Detroit city. During that period the Michigan scandalous politician Louis Miriani was the Mayor of Detroit (1957-1962).
Oleksandr Pavlovych Liashko was a Soviet Ukrainian politician. He was the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Ukrainian SSR for more than 15 years, making him the longest-serving person in that capacity. He also served in the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union from 1961 to 1989. In 1985 Liashko received the honorary award, the Hero of Socialist Labour.
Iryna Onufriyivna Kalynets was a Ukrainian poet, writer, activist and Soviet dissident during the 1970s. Kalynets was the wife of another Soviet dissident, Ihor Kalynets.

Its former names were: the Main Editorial Office of the Ukrainian Soviet Encyclopedia (1959–1989) and the Mykola Bazhan All-Ukrainian State Specialized Publisher "Ukrainian Encyclopedia" (1989–2013). It operates in Kyiv since 1957.
The ministries of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic were central bodies of state administration of the Ukrainian SSR as republican ministries of the Soviet Union. Among other central bodies of state administration there also were committees, state committees, and other agencies. After World War II in 1946 ministries uniformly as throughout the rest of the Soviet Union replaced the existing People's Commissariats. The ministries were part of the Council of Ministries of the UkrSSR until 18 April 1991 when the latter was reformed into the Cabinet of Ministries of the UkrSSR.

The State Archival Service of Ukraine or Ukrderzharkhiv is a Ukrainian government agency that implements state policy regarding the keeping of archives and record, function of state system of documentation security fund as well as an inter-trade coordination on matters within its competence. In 2010, the service was reorganised based on the State Committee of Archives (DerzhKomArchiv). The agency is part of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine since 1999. Between 1947 and 1960, it belonged to the NKVD.
Anatoliy Maksymovych Baranovsky was a Ukrainian politician, economist and diplomat. He was Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Ukrainian SSR from 1952 to 1954 and Ministry of Finance of the Ukrainian SSR from 1961 to 1979.
