History
Minnesota Cosmetology Education Center was established in 1950, in a residential home that was converted to a school setting. In 1988, new owners purchased the school, and revamped the curriculum to focus on the salon industry; taking on the education of the business side of cosmetology. Curriculum focuses on cosmetology, sales training, communication, fashion, and technical ability.
In 2003, Minnesota Cosmetology Education Center was acquired by Terry L. Myhre and Kaye Myhre, who renamed the institution Minnesota School of Cosmetology, and moved the facility from South Saint Paul to a location in Oakdale, a suburb of St. Paul Minnesota. The campus has since moved to the nearby suburb of Woodbury, Minnesota. In 2012, an additional campus opened in the suburb of Plymouth, Minnesota. Due to financial strain in part brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Plymouth campus closed on December, 30th, 2020.
The Defense Language Institute (DLI) is a United States Department of Defense (DoD) educational and research institution consisting of two separate entities which provide linguistic and cultural instruction to the Department of Defense, other federal agencies and numerous customers around the world. The Defense Language Institute is responsible for the Defense Language Program, and the bulk of the Defense Language Institute's activities involve educating DoD members in assigned languages, and international personnel in English. Other functions include planning, curriculum development, and research in second-language acquisition.
The College of Visual Arts (CVA) in Saint Paul, Minnesota, United States, was a private, accredited, four-year college of art and design offering a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in fine arts, graphic design, illustration, and photography. The fine arts degree offered concentrations in drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture.

University of Advancing Technology (UAT) is a private for-profit university in Tempe, Arizona. Founded in 1983, UAT integrates technology into its general education requirements. The institution offers core classes, as well as deep sets of courses in each major. Each student is required to complete a "Student Innovation Project" and internship to graduate.
Dakota County Technical College (DCTC) is a public technical college in Rosemount, Minnesota, United States. It is located in Dakota County inside the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area. DCTC belongs to the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System and is one of five stand-alone technical colleges in the state.
Duluth Business University (DBU) was a private for-profit college in Duluth, Minnesota that closed in June 2018. At its peak it enrolled about 300 students and was the oldest college in Duluth, Minnesota. DBU closed in June 2018 because its accreditor had its authority revoked by the U.S. Department of Education which has caused enrollment problems for the institution.

Globe University and Minnesota School of Business (Globe/MSB) was a private for-profit education network based in Washington County, Minnesota, providing specialized training programs in business, accounting, medical, legal, information technology, massage, veterinary technology, and design fields. The large network had multiple campuses in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and South Dakota.
Virginia College was a private for-profit college located primarily in the southeastern United States. It offered classes, certificates, diplomas, and degrees related to specific professions such as health sciences, information technology, business, office management, and criminal justice. It also offered online degree programs.

Pangasinan State University, also referred to by its acronym PSU or PangSU,) is a public university in Pangasinan province, Philippines. The university was founded in its current form in 1979, although its origins trace back to the 1920s. PSU is notable for its many locations throughout the province of Pangasinan. It is mandated to provide advanced instruction in the arts, agricultural and natural sciences as well as in technological and professional fields. Its main campus is located in Lingayen, Pangasinan. The PSU School of Advanced Studies (SAS) is located in Urdaneta City and the Open University Systems (OUS) is located in Lingayen Campus.
Divers Institute of Technology (DIT) is a private, for-profit educational institution for the training of commercial divers and located in Seattle, Washington. Founded in 1968 in Seattle, Washington, Divers Institute of Technology is located on the North end of Lake Union near Gas Works Park in the Wallingford district.
IBMC College is a private for-profit career college with 3 campuses in northern Colorado. The college is headquartered in Fort Collins, Colorado. This accelerated for-profit career training institution has additional campuses in Longmont and Greeley.
Miami-Jacobs Career College is a private for-profit career college with locations throughout Ohio. Miami-Jacobs Career College has locations in several Ohio cities: Columbus, Dayton, Sharonville, Springboro, and Troy.
The National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences (NACCAS) is an accrediting commission that accredits cosmetology schools and beauty schools in the United States. It is considered an autonomous, independent accrediting agency, as well as a nonprofit Delaware corporation. The main office of NACCAS is located in Alexandria, Virginia. NACCAS is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a national agency for the institutional accreditation of post-secondary schools and departments of cosmetology arts and sciences, including specialized schools.
Marinello Schools of Beauty was a private, for-profit cosmetology school owned by B&H Education, Inc. with locations throughout the United States. It was shut down on February 5, 2016, by the U.S. Department of Education due to "pervasive and widespread misconduct that negatively affected all borrowers" who attended the school utilizing federal student aid. At that time, there were 56 locations throughout California, Connecticut, Kansas, Massachusetts, Nevada, and Utah.
The Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine (MCASOM), formerly known as Mayo Medical School (MMS), is a research-oriented medical school based in Rochester, Minnesota, with additional campuses in Arizona and Florida. MCASOM is a school within the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science (MCCMS), the education division of the Mayo Clinic. It grants the Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree, accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME). In November 2018, the school was renamed in honor of a $200 million donation from businessman Jay Alix.
