The 2006 Mississauga municipal elections took place on November 13, 2006, to elect a mayor and 11 city councillors in Mississauga, Canada. The 2006 election was noteworthy for its record number of candidates, in part due to two new wards being added to Council. The Peel District School Board is a school district that serves approximately 154,000 kindergarten to grade 12 students at more than 253 schools in the Region of Peel in Ontario.
The Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board is the separate school board that oversees 148 Catholic school facilities throughout Peel Region and Dufferin County. It employs roughly 5,000 teachers; about 3,000 at the elementary level, and the remaining 2,000 at the secondary school and continuing education level, for 90,000 students.

The Regional Municipality of Peel is a regional municipality in Southern Ontario, Canada.
