Moderat is the self-titled first studio album by electronic music project Moderat, consisting of Modeselektor and Apparat. It was released on 11 May 2009 on BPitch Control. [3]

Moderat are an electronic music group originating in Berlin, Germany between Sascha Ring, also known as Apparat, and Modeselektor members Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary. The band has released three studio albums to date, their most recent being III, released on April 1, 2016. The group was voted "The #1 Live Act of the Year" in 2009 by the readers of the online electronic music magazine Resident Advisor.

Apparat (musician) German electronic musician

Sascha Ring, better known by the stage name Apparat, is a German electronic musician. He was previously co-owner of Shitkatapult records. Starting out with dancefloor-oriented techno, he shifted focus towards ambient music, becoming "more interested in designing sounds than beats".
