The Lamoriello Trophy is awarded annually to the champion of the Hockey East Men's Ice Hockey Tournament. The award came into existence on March 7, 1988 and is named for the first commissioner of Hockey East, Lou Lamoriello, who as of 2024 is the general manager for the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League. In 1998, a permanent trophy was commissioned, and in 1999, it was awarded for the first time, to the Boston College Eagles. The winner of the Lamoriello Trophy receives an automatic entry to the NCAA Division I Ice Hockey Tournament.
The Indianapolis Capitals were an American Hockey League professional ice hockey team based in Indianapolis, Indiana, from 1939 to 1952. The Capitals were a farm team for the Detroit Red Wings. Indianapolis won the Calder Cup in 1942 and 1950. They played in the Indiana State Fairgrounds Coliseum.

Västerås IK is a professional ice hockey club from Västerås, Sweden. The team is currently playing in the second-tier league in Sweden, HockeyAllsvenskan. Västerås IK played 12 seasons in the top Swedish league Elitserien before the club went bankrupt and merged with the junior club, which changed name to VIK Västerås HK in 2005. In 2018, after playing a year in tier three, Hockeyettan, the club changed it name back to the old name Västerås IK.

Contemporary accounts of the early history of British ice hockey refer to Niagara being the first English club champions in 1898.
England Ice Hockey (EIH), formerly the English Ice Hockey Association (EIHA), is the governing body of ice hockey in England and Wales. It was formed in 1982 and featured around 60 teams. EIH is one of several bodies regulating ice hockey in the United Kingdom, along with Scottish Ice Hockey (SIH), the Northern Ireland Ice Hockey Association (IHNI), and Ice Hockey UK, which governs the national ice hockey teams of Great Britain as a national member of the International Ice Hockey Association (IIHF). In 2016, support for uniting the associations under one central organization has been expressed by heads of each of the various organizations, but, as of 2020, there are no actionable plans to be executed in the near future.

The German Hockey Federation is the national governing body for field hockey in Germany. It was founded in 1909 in Bonn. It is situated in Mönchengladbach and had 66,145 members on 1 January 2006. The body is built by the club which are organised in subdivisions on the level of the Bundesländer. The association itself is member of the DOSB, the EHF and the FIH. It is responsible for the German national hockey teams and is the administrator of the Men's Bundesliga and Women's Bundesliga
The American Hockey Coaches Association was formed in 1947 in Boston. The founding members coached college ice hockey but membership has grown to include coaches at every level of the sport from youth hockey to professional ice hockey, although the organization maintains a focus on the collegiate game.
