Mookie's Law is a 2008 Canadian short film written and directed by Al Mukadam (aka Ali Mukaddam) and produced jointly by Mukadam, Mazin Elsadig and Jonathan Malen. The film premiered at Bloor Cinema in Toronto in August 2008 [1] and stars Mukadam, Garen Boyajian, Nina Dobrev and Aubrey "Drake" Graham.

Synopsis

Mookie, a student in Toronto is in perpetual conflict with himself. Despite his good intentions and big heart, he is always in trouble. Mookie clashes with an annoying professor Calhoun. Aided by his best friends, Mookie must strike a balance between what he thinks and what he says...

Radio Free Roscoe is a Canadian teen comedy-drama television series. The series was filmed in Toronto, Ontario and produced by Decode Entertainment. It first aired on August 1, 2003, on Family Channel in Canada. It has also been dubbed in French in the province of Quebec and aired on Vrak. The show was later aired on The N in the United States, where the show received funding for a second season. The series ended on 27 May 2005 because The N decided to stop funding the show, and Family, along with Decode Entertainment, could not fill the gap in the production budget. The show was shown on Family until 2007, when it was replaced. In early 2008, The N began rebroadcasting reruns. As of 2019, episodes can still be found on the Canadian station Family Chrgd.

Mazin Elfadil Elsadig is an American-born Canadian actor of Sudanese origin. He had a role in the 2007 Disney Channel Original Movie Jump In! and later joined the cast of the CTV/The N teen drama Degrassi: The Next Generation as Damian Hayes, for the show's sixth and seventh seasons, from 2006–08. Elsadig also appeared on the stage play in Marcia Johnson's Late in 2008. He is also the voice of Broseph on the Teletoon animated series Stoked.

Paradise Theatre (Toronto)

The Paradise Theatre is a movie theatre located at 1006 Bloor Street West in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It first opened in 1937, closed in 2006, and was to be turned into a pharmacy. However, it was restored and re-opened on December 5, 2019. The renovations include luxury features, including an attached restaurant, bar, and table service to the premium patrons in the balcony.
