Odd Nordstoga is a folk singer, musician, actor and editor from Vinje in Telemark, Norway. In 2004, he went from relative obscurity to becoming the country's biggest selling recording artist, with the phenomenal success of his first solo album proper, "Luring". The album, a fusion of pop and Norwegian folk music, has sold more than 160,000 copies in Norway to date and earned him several Spellemannsprisen awards. For the album Strålande Jul, released together with Sissel Kyrkjebø, he won an unprecedented 11 Norwegian platinum trophies.
Elling is a Norwegian Black comedy film directed by Petter Næss. Shot mostly in and around the Norwegian capital Oslo, the film, which was released in 2001, is primarily based on Ingvar Ambjørnsen's novel Brødre i blodet, one of a series of four featuring the Elling character – the others are Utsikt til paradiset, Fugledansen, and Elsk meg i morgen. The film was followed by an original prequel not based on any of the novels, Mors Elling (2003), and a sequel, Elsk meg i morgen (2005) based on the fourth and last book in the series.
Lars Lillo-Stenberg is a Norwegian rock musician. He is the man behind the Norwegian band deLillos, but he also played in The Last James and still plays in the band Young Neils. He has also recorded many solo albums. He is the son of the actors Per Lillo-Stenberg and Mette Lange-Nilsen. He grew up at Frogner in Oslo. Lillo-Stenberg is married to the actress Andrine Sæther.

It created the Oscar-nominated film "Elling" (2001), starring Per Christian Ellefsen (Elling), Sven Nordin, Marit Pia Jacobsen (Reidun), Jørgen Langhelle and Per Christiansen, based on the novel "Brødre i Blodet" by Ingvar Ambjørnsen. Maipo followed the Elling success with a sequel and produced other feature films.

Petter Næss is a Norwegian actor and film director. His first film as a director was the comedy Absolutt blåmandag in 1999. Næss is best known for his work directing two of the three films about Ingvar Ambjørnsen's Elling character, Elling (2000), which was nominated for the foreign language film Oscar and Elsk meg i morgen, (2005), in addition to Bare Bea (2003), Mozart and the Whale (2005) and Hoppet in Sweden. In 2008, Næss portrayed the war hero Martin Linge in the movie Max Manus.

Edvard Hoem is a Norwegian novelist, dramatist, lyricist, psalmist and government scholar. He made his literary debut in 1969, with the poetry collection Som grønne musikantar. Cold Prey 2: Resurrection is a 2008 Norwegian slasher film, directed by Mats Stenberg. It is the sequel to the highly successful Cold Prey, and premiered in Norway on 10 October 2008. Written by Roar Uthaug and again starring Ingrid Bolsø Berdal in the leading role, this film picks up where the first left off. The female protagonist is picked up in the wilderness and brought to a hospital, but soon her nightmare starts all over again. Reviewers, though not overwhelmed, declared it a surprisingly good sequel to the original. Its opening weekend was the best for any Norwegian movie in history.
