In popular culture and UFO conspiracy theories, men in black (MIB) are supposed men dressed in black suits who claim to be quasi-government agents who harass or threaten UFO witnesses to keep them quiet about what they have seen. It is sometimes implied that they may be aliens themselves. The term is also frequently used to describe mysterious men working for unknown organizations, as well as various branches of government allegedly designed to protect secrets or perform other strange activities. The term is generic, used for any unusual, threatening or strangely behaved individual whose appearance on the scene can be linked in some fashion with a UFO sighting. Several alleged encounters with the men in black have been reported by UFO researchers and enthusiasts.
The Big Fisherman is a 1959 American historical drama film directed by Frank Borzage about the life of Simon Peter, one of the disciples of Jesus. Starring Howard Keel, Susan Kohner and John Saxon, the production is adapted from the 1948 novel by Lloyd C. Douglas, which is closely related to Douglas' previous book, 1942's The Robe which, six years earlier, in 1953, had also been adapted for the screen under the same title, The Robe. Brian Berdan is a film editor with several high-grossing films to his name. He was born in Michigan and earned his glider pilot's licence on December 12, 1992. Graduating from UC Berkeley in 1984, Berdan started his career with a job sweeping floors at Studio C, in San Francisco, then moved on to Lucasfilm in the post production division. From there, he began his freelance editing career as an apprentice editor on David Lynch's Blue Velvet. He also trained on Peter Bogdanovich's Noises Off and Oliver Stone's Heaven & Earth. It was Stone who gave Berdan his first credit as Editor on the manic and controversial Natural Born Killers. He continued working with Stone on Nixon and U Turn. He lives in the Pacific Northwest.

His 1956 book They Knew Too Much About Flying Saucers introduced the notion of the Men in Black to UFO folklore. Recent evidence indicates that he was skeptical of most UFO claims, and mainly wrote about the paranormal for financial gain. He sometimes participated in hoaxes to deceive more serious UFO investigators.
