Nalin Vimukthi

Nalin Vimukthi (born Jayamaha Mudalige Don Nalin Vimukthi Jayamaha on 28 February 1988) is a Sri Lankan cricketer. He is a left-handed batsman and wicket-keeper who plays for Ragama Cricket Club. He was born in Kattiyawa-Talawa.

Vimukthi made his List A debut for the side during the 2009-10 Premier Limited Overs Tournament, against Badureliya Sports Club. He did not bat in the match, but took a single catch from behind the stumps, that of former One-Day International player Hemantha Wickramaratne.

He was Commander, Northern Naval Area of the Sri Lanka Navy when he was killed from wounds sustained in a land mine explosion that killed 7 other senior military officers including Lieutenant General Denzil Kobbekaduwa in island of Kayts while making preparations for Operation Final Countdown the proposed invasion of the Jaffna Peninsula.

Yvonne Jonsson was a 19-year-old Swedish woman living in Sri Lanka at the time of her murder. She was beaten and fatally strangled by Jude Shramantha Anthony Jayamaha in the stairwell of the Royal Park Condominium complex in Rajagiriya, Sri Lanka. Despite sustaining major blunt force cranial trauma, the cause of death was asphyxiation by either ligature or manual strangulation.
