(Norwegian) or Nåavmesjenjaelmie (Southern Sami) is a municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is part of the Namdalen region. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Namsos. Some of the villages in the municipality include Bangsund, Klinga, Ramsvika, Skomsvoll, Spillum, Sævik, Dun, Salsnes, Nufsfjord, Lund, Namdalseid, Sjøåsen, Statland, Tøttdalen, and Sverkmoen.
Trøndelag (Urban East Norwegian:[ˈtrœ̂ndəˌlɑːɡ]; or Trööndelage is a county and coextensive with the Trøndelag region in the central part of Norway. It was created in 1687, then named Trondhjem County ; in 1804 the county was split into Nord-Trøndelag and Sør-Trøndelag by the King of Denmark-Norway, and the counties were reunited in 2018 after a vote of the two counties in 2016.

Namsos Airport, referred locally as Høknesøra Airport, is a regional airport located along the Namsen river, just outside the town of Namsos in Namsos Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The airport is served with Dash 8 aircraft from Widerøe on public service obligation contracts with the Ministry of Transport and Communications. It had 25,684 passengers in 2011 and is owned and operated by Avinor. There has been one large disaster associated with the airport. In 1993, Widerøe Flight 744 hit ground in darkness during approach, causing six deaths out of 19 on board.
Klinga is a village in Namsos Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The village is located about halfway between the villages of Bangsund and Spillum along the Norwegian County Road 17. The village of Sævik lies just north of Klinga and the town of Namsos lies about 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) to the north.

Nord-Trøndelag was a county constituting the northern part of the present-day Trøndelag county in Norway. It bordered the old Sør-Trøndelag county as well as the county of Nordland. To the west is the Norwegian Sea, and to the east is Jämtland in Sweden. The county was established in 1804 when the old Trondhjems amt was divided into two: Nordre Trondhjems amt and Søndre Trondhjems amt. In 2016, the two county councils voted to merge (back) into a single county on 1 January 2018.

Otterøya is an island in Namsos Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The 143-square-kilometre (55 sq mi) island is the largest island in the northern part of Trøndelag county. Otterøya sits just to the northwest of the town of Namsos on the north side of the Namsenfjorden. It is connected to the mainland by the Lokkaren Bridge. The island was once governed by Otterøy Municipality and Fosnes Municipality, and became a part of Namsos Municipality in 1964. Otterøy Church is located on the island.
