The National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI) is a professional association of people who investigate cases of fire and arson. It was created in 1961 and is located in Bradenton, Florida. The purpose of the group is to increase knowledge and improve skills of fire investigators in the field and in relation to the litigation involved in determining the origin and cause of fires.
NAFI offers three certifications for its members through its own National Certification Board. The National Fire Protection Association's guide to fire investigation, known as NFPA 921 recognizes the certifications awarded by NAFI. Through NAFI, members can become a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI), a Certified Fire Investigation Instructor (CFII), or a Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator (CVFI).

The National Association of Underwater Instructors is a non-profit 501 (c) (6) association of scuba instructors. It is a recreational dive certification and membership organization established to provide international diver standards and education programs. The agency was founded in 1960 by Albert Tillman and Neal Hess. NAUI is headquartered in Tampa, Florida, US) with dive and member instructors, resorts, stores, service and training centers, located in Japan, South Africa, the Middle East, Europe, Brazil and the Pacific Rim.
A certified first responder is a person who has completed a course and received certification in providing pre-hospital care for medical emergencies. Certified individuals should have received much more instruction than someone who is trained in basic first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) but they are not necessarily a substitute for more advanced emergency medical care rendered by emergency medical technicians (EMTs) and paramedics. First responders typically provide advanced first aid level care, CPR, and automated external defibrillator (AED) usage. The term "certified first responder" is not to be confused with "first responder", which is a generic term referring to the first medically trained responder to arrive on scene and medically trained telecommunication operators who provide pre-arrival medical instructions as trained Emergency Medical Dispatchers (EMD). Many police officers and firefighters are required to receive training as certified first responders. Advanced medical care is typically provided by EMS, although some police officers and firefighters also train to become emergency medical technicians or paramedics.

ACUC, American and Canadian Underwater Certifications Inc. is an international recreational diving membership and diver training organization. Formerly known as the Association of Canadian Underwater Councils, it was formed as a not for profit collective of regional dive councils to create a national forum for their common interest and concerns. It soon began developing a training curriculum better suited to the Canadian conditions that many other training agencies neglected. It was later incorporated in 1986 in Canada by Robert Cronkwright. Cronkwright was a National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI) instructor from 1969 to 1971. In 1971 he crossed over to the Association of Canadian Underwater Councils and became a Training Director, Secretary/Treasurer and later Vice President of the Association (1972–1984). He was also Training Director for the Ontario Underwater Council (OUC) in the 1970s.

The National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI) is a United States professional organisation for flight instructors. Founded in 1967 by Jack Eggspuehler NAFI is dedicated exclusively to "raising and maintaining the professional standing of the flight instructor in the aviation community". NAFI was affiliated with the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) from 1995 until 2010. NAFI is governed by a board of directors composed of eleven members. The organisation works with other groups such as AOPA, EAA, and the Federal Aviation Administration. Robert Meder is the organization's current Chairman.

In 2008 there were 290 scuba diving clubs and schools with a total of 20.000 members. The NOB is a member of CMAS Confédération Mondiale des Activités Subaquatiques. The aim of the NOB is to develop recreational scuba diving in the Netherlands.
