The National Dance Award (Spanish: Premio Nacional de Danza) of Spain is an annual prize awarded by the Ministry of Culture since 1988 and regulated by the Royal Decree of 1995, along with the rest of the country's National Awards. [1] [2] [3] It is granted by a jury and, since 2000, in two categories: Creation and Performance. Each confers a monetary prize of €30,000 [4] (originally 2,000 pesetas). [5]

The National Environmental Award was an annual honor given by Spain's Ministry of Environment from 1986 to 2009. Several prizes were awarded, some of them bearing the names of distinguished naturalists such as Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente and Lucas Mallada. In 2009, its last year, each of the two awardees was endowed with 22,000 euros.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Sol Picó</span> Spanish dancer and choreographer (born 1967)

Sol Picó Monllor is a Spanish dancer and choreographer. She has studied Spanish dance, ballet, and contemporary dance, and combines different techniques and languages in her productions in a groundbreaking way. In 1993 she created the Sol Picó Company, with which she has become one of the most heterodox choreographers and dancers of the Spanish contemporary scene. She has received numerous awards, including 10 Premios Max, the National Dance Award of Catalonia (2004), the City of Barcelona Dance Award (2015) and the National Dance Award of Spain (2016).

The National Architecture Award of Spain is an honor granted annually by the Government of Spain. It was first given in 1932, had a hiatus during the Civil War, and resumed in 1944, although it is not convened every year.

María del Carmen Laffón de la Escosura was a Spanish figurative painter and sculptor. She was a member of the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando from 1998 until her death, and received numerous awards and honours, such as the Grand Cross of the Civil Order of Alfonso X, the Wise in 2017.

The National Award for Plastic Arts is one of Spain's National Culture Awards for Fine Arts, along with the National Award for Photography and Velázquez Award for Plastic Arts. Established in 1980, it is granted annually by the Ministry of Culture and Sport to recognize the meritorious work of contemporary plastic artists. It is given for works or actions published in the prior year which contribute to the enrichment of Spain's cultural heritage. Despite being developed by an administrative body, the selection of the award's winners is intended to be a true reflection of the values and feelings of society. It is endowed with a prize of 30,000 euros.

The Forqué Awards or José María Forqué Awards are film and television awards presented by the association of audiovisual producers EGEDA, honoring the best of Spanish cinema and television.

Santiago Ramos is a Spanish actor. He won the Goya Award for Best Actor for his performance in Como un relámpago (1996).

The National Award for Literature in the Poetry Category has been presented annually by the Ministry of Culture of Spain since 1977.
