Freeway No.7 of the Republic of China is a planned freeway in Kaohsiung City in Taiwan. The freeway will connect the Kaohsiung Port to Freeway 10 (Kaohsiung Branch) along the eastern suburbs of Kaohsiung. As of 2015, the freeway is still under review from the environmental agencies.

Kaohsiung City is a special municipality in southern Taiwan. It ranges from the coastal urban centre to the rural Yushan Range with an area of 2,952 km2 (1,140 sq mi). Kaohsiung City has a population of approximately 2.77 million people and is Taiwan's third most populous city and largest city in southern Taiwan.
Kaohsiung Metro is a rapid transit and light rail system covering the metropolitan area of Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Its metro network is known as Kaohsiung Mass Rapid Transit or Kaohsiung MRT. Construction of the MRT started in October 2001. The MRT opened in 2008 and the Circular light rail in 2015. Kaohsiung Metro is operated by the Kaohsiung Rapid Transit Corporation under a BOT contract the company signed with the Kaohsiung City Government.

Cishan District is a suburban district in northeastern Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
National Freeway 1, also known as Sun Yat-sen Freeway, is a freeway in Taiwan, the first freeway built in Taiwan. It begins in Keelung at the intersection of Xiao 2nd Road and Zhong 4th Road and ends in Kaohsiung at the intersection of Zhongshan 4th Road and Yugang Road, giving it a total length of 374.3 km (232.6 mi).
National Freeway 3, also known as Formosa Freeway, is a freeway in Taiwan. It is the second north–south freeway in Taiwan, beginning in Keelung City at Jijin Interchange on the provincial highway 2 and ending in Linbian, Pingtung on the provincial highway 17. It is the longest freeway in Taiwan with the total length of 430.5 km (267.5 mi). The freeway is also the only one in the national freeway system with a spur route, Freeway 3A.
National Freeway 10 is a freeway in Taiwan which begins in downtown Kaohsiung City at the intersection of Dajhong Road and Wunzih Road and ends in Cishan on the provincial highway 3.
Nanzih District is a district located in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. It was the northernmost district of Kaohsiung City until Kaohsiung County was merged into the municipality in 2010. Nanzih offers convenient access to transportation, including a train and bus station and an interchange on the Sun Yat-sen Freeway. Moreover, it also contains the Nanzih Industrial Zone.
Cijin District is a district of Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, covering Cijin Island (旗津島) and islands in the South China Sea. It is the second smallest district in Kaohsiung City after Yancheng District.
The Ten Major Construction Projects were the national infrastructure projects during the 1970s in Taiwan. The government of Republic of China believed that the country lacked key utilities such as highways, seaports, airports and power plants. Moreover, Taiwan was experiencing significant effects from the 1973 oil crisis. Therefore, to upgrade the industry and the development of the country, the government planned to take on ten massive building projects. They were proposed by the Premier Chiang Ching-kuo, beginning in 1974, with a planned completion by 1979. There were six transportation projects, three industrial projects, and one power-plant construction project, which ultimately cost over NT$300 billion in total.
The Gaoping River, also spelled Kaoping River, is the second longest river in Taiwan after Zhuoshui River with a total length of 184 km (114 mi). It is located on the southern part of the island, flowing through Pingtung County and Kaohsiung City. It is the largest river in Taiwan by drainage area. Draining a rugged area on the western side of the Central Mountain Range.

Taiwan Ring Expressway is a proposed, hypothetical expressway encircling the island of Taiwan as part of the National Trunk Highway System of the People's Republic of China. It is not in existence and hypothetical due to the political status of Taiwan. The People's Republic of China claims control over Taiwan while it is administered and controlled by the Republic of China. Taiwan has its own highway system and does not recognize the designation by the People's Republic of China.
The iPASS is a contactless smartcard operated by the iPASS Corporation. Starting from February 13, 2017, both EasyCard and iPASS in Taiwan are accepted for virtually all public transport including Kaohsiung Metro, Taipei Metro, buses and TRA. It also serves as an electronic wallet. It is available for purchase at all Kaohsiung and Taipei metro stations, and some convenience stores.
On 31 July 2014, a series of gas explosions occurred in the Cianjhen and Lingya districts of Kaohsiung, Taiwan, following reports of gas leaks earlier that night. Thirty-two people were killed and 321 people were injured.

Provincial Highway 17 (PH 17), Chinese: 台17線) is a north–south highway from Qingshui in Taichung City to Fangliao in Pingtung County. The highway is known as Western Coastal Highway (西部濱海公路) since it runs parallel to the western coasts of Taiwan. Since the completion of PH 61 expressway, which parallels PH 17, the latter now mostly handles local traffic. The total length of the highway is 273.474 kilometres (169.929 mi).
Provincial Highway 19 is a north–south highway from Changhua City in Changhua County to Yongkang in Tainan City. The highway is known as Central Highway (中央公路). The highway lies between the coastal PH 17 and the inland PH 1 which serves many of the major cities in central and southern Taiwan. The total length of the highway is 140.195 kilometres (87.113 mi).
National Fengshan Senior High school, alias Fengshan Senior High School, abbreviated FSSH or FSHS, is a high school with a long history, marked as one of the schools as trials by the education ministry in Taiwan that mixed together both sexes in a class since past few decades from now, located in Fongshan District, Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. Important neighboring infrastructures and institutions to the school are Kaohsiung City Government, Taiwanese Presidential Office in southern Taiwan, Fengshan railway station, TRA Jhenyi Chenching Station, Kaohsiung City Bus Main Station, Fongshan_West_MRT_station, Weiwuying_MRT_station, Kaohsiung Interchange of Freeway 1, Weiwuying Metropolitan Park, National_Kaohsiung_Center_for_the_Arts, therefore, it is within easy reach and a well-known high school in the Kaohsiung_metropolitan_area, which enrolls the number of students graduating from junior high schools that can constitute 18 classes per grade in each school year.
Kao-Ping Hsi Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge over Gaoping River connecting Dashu, Kaohsiung and Jiuru, Pingtung County in Taiwan. The bridge carries the Freeway 3 and was completed in 1999. The bridge is an important transport corridor between Kaohsiung and Pingtung.And it is a famous landmark in Pingtung.
