The Nationale Cyclo-Cross Otegem ("Weversmisdagcross") is a cyclo-cross race held in Otegem, Belgium. It's traditionally held the Monday after the Belgian national championships.

Erik De Vlaeminck was a Belgian cyclist who became cyclo-cross world-champion seven times, a record for male riders.
Mario De Clercq is a Belgian former racing cyclist. He specialized in cyclo-cross racing but also rode on the road and circuit races during his career, he raced as a professional between 1991 and 2004. The majority of his years as a professional were under the sponsorship of Palmans–Boghemans and its various co-sponsors.

Toon Aerts is a Belgian professional cyclo-cross and road cyclist, who last rode for UCI Continental team Baloise–Trek Lions. Aerts is a two-time winner of the UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup standings, and also won the men's elite race at the 2016 European Championships and the 2019 Belgian National Championships. His brother Thijs is also a professional cyclist.

Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado is a Dominican-born Dutch cyclist, who currently competes in cyclo-cross for UCI Cyclo-cross Team Alpecin–Deceuninck, and in road cycling for UCI Women's Continental Team Fenix–Deceuninck. In 2018, she won the gold medal in the Under-23 race at the UEC European Cyclo-cross Championships in Rosmalen. She repeated this feat in 2019. On 1 February 2020 she became world champion in the elite category at the 2020 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships in Dübendorf, Switzerland.
Robert Vermeire is a Belgian former cyclo-cross cyclist. He notably won the UCI Amateur Cyclo-cross World Championships five times: in 1970, 1971, 1974, 1975 and 1977. He also won a bronze medal in the elite race at the 1979 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships.
Marion Norbert-Riberolle is a French and after naturalization from 2021 a Belgian cyclist. She is mainly active in cyclo-cross. In 2020 she won gold at the French elite cyclo-cross championship. In the 2019-2020 season, she won gold at the U23 World championship and bronze at the U23 European championship. In 2022 and 2023 she won the silver medal at the Belgian elite cyclo-cross championship. She rides for the Belgian team Crelan-Fristads (cyclo-cross) and Fenix-Deceuninck (road).
