Nazaire-Nicolas Olivier (1860 – May 2, 1898) was a lawyer and political figure in Quebec. He represented Lévis in the Legislative Assembly of Quebec from 1897 to 1898 as a Liberal member.

Lévis is a provincial electoral district in the Chaudière-Appalaches region of Quebec, Canada. It includes all of the city of Lévis north of Autoroute 20 and east of the Chaudière River. This includes downtown Lévis, Lauzon, Saint-David-de-l'Auberivière and Saint-Romuald.
The Legislative Assembly of Quebec was the name of the lower house of Quebec's legislature until December 31, 1968, when it was renamed the National Assembly of Quebec. At the same time, the upper house of the legislature, the Legislative Council, was abolished. Both were initially created by the Constitutional Act of 1791.
He was born in Saint-Nicolas, Canada East, the son of Polycarpe Olivier and Olive Demers, and was educated at the Séminaire de Québec and the Université Laval. He was admitted to the Quebec bar in 1886 and set up practice at Quebec City. In 1889, he married Héloïse Roy. Olivier served as secretary for the Quebec bar. He was an unsuccessful candidate for a seat in the provincial assembly in 1892. Oliver was elected to the Quebec assembly in an 1897 by-election held after François-Xavier Lemieux was named to the Quebec Superior Court. He died in office in Quebec City at the age of 37.
Saint-Nicolas is a district within Les Chutes-de-la-Chaudière-Ouest borough of the city of Lévis, Quebec, Canada on the St. Lawrence River. Prior to 2002, it was an independent municipality.
Canada East was the northeastern portion of the United Province of Canada. Lord Durham's Report investigating the causes of the Upper and Lower Canada Rebellions recommended merging those two colonies. The new colony, known as the Province of Canada was created by the Act of Union 1840 passed by the Parliament of the United Kingdom, having effect in 1841. For administrative purposes, the new Province was subdivided into Canada West and Canada East. The former name of "Lower Canada" came back into official use in 1849, and as of the Canadian Confederation of 1867, it formed the newly created province of Quebec.
Université Laval is a French-language, public research university in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada. The University was founded by royal charter issued by Queen Victoria in 1852, with roots in the founding of the Séminaire de Québec in 1663 by François de Montmorency-Laval, making it the oldest centre of higher education in Canada and the first North American institution to offer higher education in French. The university, whose campus was erected from the 1950s onward in the suburban borough of Sainte-Foy–Sillery–Cap-Rouge, is ranked among the top ten Canadian universities in terms of research funding and holds four Canada Excellence Research Chairs.
