Daud is a 1997 Indian Hindi-language road adventure comedy film written and directed by Ram Gopal Varma, starring Sanjay Dutt and Urmila Matondkar, with music composed by A. R. Rahman. The film was based on Ram Gopal Varma's 1991 cult classic, Kshana Kshanam, which starred Venkatesh, Sridevi and Paresh Rawal.

Phir Hera Pheri is a 2006 Indian Hindi-language comedy film written and directed by Neeraj Vora. The film serves as the sequel to Hera Pheri (2000) and the second installment of the Hera Pheri franchise. The film stars an ensemble cast of Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Bipasha Basu, Rimi Sen, Sharat Saxena, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Milind Gunaji, Manoj Joshi and Razak Khan. This story of the film is an official remake of the Malayalam language film Sanmanassullavarkku Samadhanam (1986) with a sequence borrowed from another Malayalam movie Minnaram (1994). The film stars Suniel Shetty, Mahima Chaudhry and Paresh Rawal.
Mungerilal Ke Haseen Sapne is an Indian television series directed by Prakash Jha that revolved around the life of Mungerilal, played by Raghubir Yadav. The serial was conceptualised by Neeraj Kumar who also gave it its iconic name which has stuck in the collective conscience of its audience. Neeraj Kumar took inspiration from James Thurber's story Secret Life of Walter Mitty and went on to script the first four episodes of the show. Subsequent episodes were written by Manohar Shyam Joshi. Its hugely popular and celebrated theme song- 'Sapnon Ke Naam Nahin, sapnon ke daam nahi, sapno ke ghodon par kissi ki lagaam nahi, Mungerilal ke Haseen Sapne...' was also penned by Neeraj Kumar.

Neeraj Pandey is an Indian film director, producer and screenwriter who works in Hindi cinema. Pandey made his directoral debut in A Wednesday!, which was largely praised by critics and which later became a recipient of many accolades. Ram Gopal Varma has announced that the film is not a biopic but is inspired by the case.
