Nepal Progressive Student Federation

Nepal Progressive Student Federation is a students organisation in Nepal. It is the students wing of the Communist Party of Nepal (United Marxist).

NPSF was formed on December 10, 2005, through the merger of the Nepal National Students Federation (students wing of Communist Party of Nepal (United)) and Nepal Progressive Students Union (students wing of Communist Party of Nepal (Marxist)). The decision to go ahead with the merger was taken at a joint meeting of the central committees of the two federations on November 12.[ dead link ]

NPSF actively takes part in protests against the royal regime in Nepal.

The Nepal Communist Party, abbreviated NCP, was the ruling political party in Nepal, the largest communist party in South Asia, and the third largest communist party in Asia from its foundation in 2018 to its dissolution in 2021. It was founded on 17 May 2018, from the unification of two leftist parties, Communist Party of Nepal and Communist Party of Nepal. The unification was completed by the Party Unification Coordination Committee, after eight months of negotiation. Sita Subedi is a Nepalese politician. She was the president of the Nepal Progressive Women's Federation. She also served as a Central Committee member of the Communist Party of Nepal. She was nominated as a FPTP candidate for the Communist Party of Nepal in the 2008 Constituent Assembly election. Subedi contested the Kathmandu-9 constituency, but only mustered 55 votes (0.1%).

Marxism–Leninism–Maoism (MLM) is a political philosophy that synthesizes and builds upon Marxism–Leninism and Maoism. Its proponents refer to Marxism–Leninism–Maoism as Maoism and Maoism as Mao Zedong Thought (MZT) or Marxism–Leninism–Mao Zedong Thought, the Chinese adaption of Marxism–Leninism.
