The Maria Mitchell Observatory in Nantucket, Massachusetts, USA, was founded in 1908 and named in honor of Maria Mitchell, the first American woman astronomer. It is a major component of the Maria Mitchell Association. The Observatory actually consists of two observatories - the main Maria Mitchell Observatory near downtown Nantucket and the Loines Observatory about a kilometer west of town. It is also the repository for a valuable collection of over 8000 wide-field glass photographic plates, recording observations of large swaths of sky from 1913 to 1995.
Baker's Haulover Inlet is a man-made channel in Miami-Dade County, Florida connecting the northern end of Biscayne Bay with the Atlantic Ocean. The inlet was cut in 1925 through a narrow point in the sand between the cities of Bal Harbour and Sunny Isles. It is the location of an official nude beach, recreation areas and marina in the 99-acre Haulover Park. A fixed bridge carries State Road A1A across the inlet.

Coral Springs Charter School was established in 1999 in Coral Springs, Florida, United States. The school was originally constructed in 1977 as an enclosed mall. When the mall failed, the nearly vacant structure was purchased by Charter Schools USA and converted into a combination school, serving students in grades 6 through 12. The Ben Gamla Charter School is an English-Hebrew charter school, the first of its kind in the U.S., located in Hollywood, Florida. It opened August 20, 2007, with approximately 400 enrolled students from kindergarten through eighth grade, though the Ben Gamla system has expanded to 5 campuses in South Florida in both the Ben Gamla Charter Schools, as well as the Ben Gamla Preparatory Academy. The entire Ben Gamla system currently enrolls students from grades K-12 across all 5 campuses, with a total enrollment of about 2,000 students. Of the five total schools in the Ben Gamla system, three schools are in Broward County, one is in Miami-Dade County and one is in Palm Beach County. The school's director is an Orthodox rabbi and at least 50% of the students accepted to the school are Jewish. The name of the school is taken from an Israelite high priest, known in the Talmud for his campaign to establish yeshivas throughout Judaea.

Golfview was a town in Palm Beach County, Florida, in the United States. Golfview was chartered on June 11, 1937. The town, located near the southeast intersection of Belvedere Road and Military Trail and in very close proximity to the Palm Beach International Airport, remained small in both population and area. The highest recorded population of Golfview was 210 people, according to the 1980 census. By the mid-1980s, expansion of the airport and the surrounding area caused many residents to begin selling their homes. The town of Golfview officially dissolved on September 1, 1998.
