Nick Revell is a British comedian and writer for radio and television. Born John Revell, he studied at Lincoln College, Oxford.
Revell started performing stand-up in 1980 at Comedy Store, where he later became a regular MC, between 1982 and 1992. According to his website, he then gave up being a stand-up comedian and started writing for radio and television until 2002.
During the 2005 UK general election campaign he presented a three-part comedy series about the election related news of the day. He co-wrote and co-starred in a 2006 Radio 4 sitcom Living with the Enemy with former Conservative MP Gyles Brandreth. Revell played alternative comedian turned alternative therapist Nick Reynolds, with Brandreth as Conservative MP turned media personality Gyles Brandon.
His most recent radio series, is BrokenDreamCatcher (BBC R4 and BBC Sounds, 2018) and second and third series in 2020 and 2023.

Dr Evadne Hinge and Dame Hilda Bracket were characters devised by George Logan and Patrick Fyffe for their comedy and musical act. Hinge and Bracket were elderly, intellectual female musicians; in these personae, the male Logan and Fyffe played and sang songs to comic effect. They made many appearances on television and radio. The two generally performed together but, on rare occasions, appeared separately.
The Million Pound Radio Show was a long-running radio programme written by and featuring Nick Revell and Andy Hamilton that aired on Britain's BBC Radio 4. A series of sketches, interspersed with dialogue between the two, the show ran for at least six series between 1985 and 1992 with associated Christmas specials, along with a World Cup special in 1990 and a Millennium special broadcast in 1996. Regular Andy Hamilton players such as Felicity Montagu also turned up and Harry Enfield appeared in many programmes.

It was a surrealist satire on big business and Northern family sagas with Revell playing the long-lost son of the Hardstaffe family who gets caught up in their business machinations. Just a Minute is a BBC Radio 4 radio comedy panel game, hosted by Sue Perkins since 2021. For more than 50 years, with a few exceptions, it was hosted by Nicholas Parsons. Following Parsons' death in 2020, Perkins assumed the host's chair permanently, starting with the 87th series. Just a Minute was first transmitted on Radio 4 on 22 December 1967, three months after the station's launch. The programme won a Gold Sony Radio Academy Award in 2003.
