The 7th annual Australian Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards was held on 13 November 2009 at the Hisense Arena in Melbourne and was broadcast as LIVE in Australia at 7.00pm on Nickelodeon (Foxtel and Austar). The nominees for 2009 were announced on 20 September 2009.

There were performances by Australian artists, Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy, Cassie Davis and Short Stack. The hosts of the night were, Australian singer Delta Goodrem, along with international co-hosts, Benji Madden and Joel Madden from Good Charlotte. Miranda Cosgrove from hit Nickelodeon show iCarly was a special guest. An Australian magazine reported that Twilight stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart would also be attending, but this rumour has now been debunked due to the timing of the New Moon release in the U.S.

Australian Idol was a televised talent contest, screened on Channel Ten for seven seasons between 2003 and 2009. Several contestants were signed to record labels, while others released their music independently. Since 2003 Australian Idol acts have placed well on the Australian music charts, with 35 number ones and 158 platinum and 41 gold certifications. Eight Idol releases appeared in the 2000 – 2009 ARIA End of Decade Charts, and 24 releases have been nominated for Highest Selling ARIA Music Awards. The fourth annual Nickelodeon Australian Kids' Choice Awards were held on 11 October 2006 at the Sydney Entertainment Centre in Sydney. The show was hosted by Sophie Monk, Dave Lawson and James Kerley. The nominees were announced on 10 August 2006 and closed on 20 September 2006. Lindsay Lohan was originally lined up to host the 2006 awards, but was unable to attend. Bindi Irwin made her first public appearance at the 2006 awards ceremony since her father's memorial service.

The Voice is an Australian singing competition television series. It premiered on the Nine Network on 14 April 2012, before moving to the Seven Network in 2021. Based on the original The Voice of Holland, and part of The Voice franchise, its first nine seasons aired on the Nine Network, with its tenth season commencing on the Seven Network on 8 August 2021.

The 26th Annual Australian Recording Industry Association Music Awards were a series of award ceremonies which included the 2012 ARIA Artisan Awards, ARIA Hall of Fame Awards, ARIA Fine Arts Awards and ARIA Awards. The latter ceremony took place on 29 November at the Sydney Entertainment Centre, and was telecast on Nine Network's channel Go! at 7:30pm. The final nominees for ARIA Award categories were announced on 3 October as well as nominees and winners for Fine Arts Awards and Artisan Awards. There was no peer judged "Single of the Year" category this year due to replacing it to "Song of the Year", although the "Album of the Year" category returned. The Highest Selling Single and Album categories were removed as they were in 2010.

The Voice Australia is an Australian reality talent show based on the original Dutch version of the program created by John de Mol and is part of a wider international franchise. The winner receives a Universal Music Australia recording contract. Karise Eden was the winner of the first season. Her debut single, "You Won't Let Me", peaked at number five on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart, and her debut album My Journey reached number one on the ARIA Albums Chart. Eden's second single, "Threads of Silence", peaked at number 19. The winner of the second season was Harrison Craig. His debut single, "Unconditional", charted at number 15 in Australia. Nickelodeon SlimeFest is an annual music and entertainment festival organized by the American children's network Nickelodeon. Originally held in Australia, other SlimeFest festivals were then held in various parts of the world, including the United States, which held its most recent edition in June 2019.

The 59th Annual TV Week Logie Awards were held on Sunday 23 April 2017 at the Crown Palladium in Melbourne, and broadcast live on the Nine Network. Public voting for the Best Award categories began on 20 November 2016 and ended on 18 December 2016.

The eighth season of The Voice begins airing on 19 May 2019. Dubbed as the "All Stars" season, this season features a number of artists who had previously appeared on previous seasons of the show, as well as from The X Factor Australia and Australia's Got Talent. The coaching line-up consisted of returning coaches Delta Goodrem, Boy George, and Kelly Rowland, and new addition Guy Sebastian, replacing Joe Jonas.

The 2020 ARIA Music Awards are the 34th Annual Australian Recording Industry Association Music Awards and consist of a series of awards, including the 2020 ARIA Artisan Awards, ARIA Hall of Fame Awards, ARIA Fine Arts Awards and the ARIA Awards. The ARIA Awards ceremony occurred on 25 November 2020, with Delta Goodrem as host. However, due to COVID-safe restrictions, it was without an audience and was broadcast from the Star Event Centre, Sydney on the Nine Network around Australia. In place of the usual Red Carpet event, a pre-show was broadcast from The Star's backstage and was hosted by Ash London and Mitch Churi. The pre-show had 16 awards presented ahead of the main ceremony.

The tenth season of The Voice began airing on 8 August 2021. Due to the acquisition of 21st Century Fox by Disney, Fox Studios has been designated to Disney and Marvel productions, resulting in ITV Studios Australia becoming the new home for The Voice. In August 2020, it was announced Seven Network had picked up the series for its tenth season, set to broadcast in 2021, with Sonia Kruger returning as host. In December of the same year, Seven announced that Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy, Rita Ora, and Keith Urban were the coaches, replacing Boy George, Delta Goodrem and Kelly Rowland.
