North Nicosia or Northern Nicosia is the capital and largest city of the de facto state of Northern Cyprus. It is the northern part of the divided city of Nicosia and is governed by the Nicosia Turkish Municipality. As of 2011, North Nicosia had a population of 61,378 and a metropolitan area with a population of 82,539.

Emanuele Nicosia was an automobile designer from Italy. He worked at Pininfarina for many years, designing the Jaguar XJS spyder in 1979 and working on the Ferrari 288 GTO and Testarossa. Later, he worked on the interior design of the Lamborghini Diablo and Bugatti EB110. Nicosia also works on motorbike projects, and has collaborated with Oralengineering of Mr.Forghieri designing racing motorbikes. In 2000 he developed a concept for a SUB based on a Moto Guzzi 750 engine which was introduced at 2000 Bologna Motor Show. He was head of Automotive Program at DYPDC Center for Automotive Research and Studies, started running his Beestudio design branch office in Pune, India. He went to RCA, London for specializing in design.

Gerald Nicosia is an author, poet, journalist, interviewer, and literary critic. He is based in Marin County, California.

Judith Nicosia is a soprano who is based in New Jersey. Winner of the soprano competition at the Paris International Voice Competition in 1972, she had her Carnegie Hall debut in 1981. A graduate of Ithaca College, Nicosia is currently a professor of voice in the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University and tours widely as a classical soloist.
