Nine Lives is the fifth studio album by Finnish progressive rock band Von Hertzen Brothers. It was released on 18 March 2013. [1] [2] [3]
Von Hertzen Brothers is a Finnish rock group formed in 2000, by three brothers. Their music is a mix of classic rock combined with progressive elements, folk, punk and contemporary rock. Each of the brothers have a notable history in the Finnish rock scene, starting from the early 90’s. The guitar-vocalist Kie von Hertzen has played in Don Huonot[fi] (1992-2003), the singer-guitarist Mikko von Hertzen is an ex-member of Egotrippi[fi] (1994-1998) and Lemonator (1995-1998), and the vocalist-bass guitarist Jonne von Hertzen won the National Rock Contest in 1998 with his band Cosmos Tango and later joined to play the bass in Jonna Tervomaa’s band (1999-2005). From 2006 to 2016 the band had two other permanent members: Mikko Kaakkuriniemi on the drums and Juha Kuoppala on the keyboards. In 2017 the band returned to its 2006 lineup with Sami Kuoppamäki on drums. The current tour lineup also features a Swedish keyboard player Robert Engstrand.
"Flowers and Rust", the first single from the album, won the "Anthem" award at the 2013 Progressive Music Awards. [4]

William Zeitler is a performer on the armonica, or glass harmonica, an instrument invented by Benjamin Franklin. In 2013 he published The Glass Armonica: The Music and the Madness, a book about glass instruments and their history.
Mikko Raita is a Helsinki, Finland based music mixing and recording engineer as well as a producer, guitar player and co-owner of Studio Kekkonen. Clients include Apocalyptica, Sunrise Avenue, Tuomo, Deep Insight, Bleak, Ana Johnsson and Stratovarius.

Aisles is a six-piece progressive rock band originally from Santiago, Chile. The group was formed in 2001 by brothers Germán (guitar) and Luis Vergara (keyboards), and childhood friend Rodrigo Sepúlveda (guitar). Later on, it expanded to include lead singer Sebastián Vergara and Alejandro Meléndez (keyboards). Drummer Felipe Candia and bassist Daniel Baird-Kerr joined the band in 2007 and 2011 respectively.

Din Within is an American Neo-progressive rock project which was formed in late 2004 by Mark Gollihur and Josh Sager. The duo remain the only core members of the "band," but they enlisted the help of guest musicians in the production of their critically acclaimed debut album, Awaken the Man, which was released by Zenwater Music/Digital Din on November 13, 2007. The album was written over a course of several years by Gollihur and Sager, which, as they state on their website, was a time of "great personal struggle and growth." Heritage is the tenth studio album by Swedish progressive rock band Opeth. It was released on 14 September 2011 through Roadrunner Records. The album was recorded in early 2011 at Atlantis/Metronome Studios in Stockholm and produced by Mikael Åkerfeldt, engineered by Janne Hansson, and mixed by Steven Wilson. It takes on a full-fledged progressive rock sound, something the band had wanted to do for some time. It is a stark contrast to the progressive metal and death metal sounds of their past albums.
A Life Within a Day is the only studio album by the musical project Squackett, featuring Chris Squire (Yes) and Steve Hackett (ex-Genesis). It was released on 28 May 2012, although it had been written and recorded a few years before already. The title track, "A Life Within a Day" won the 'Anthem' award at the 2012 Progressive Music Awards. The song "Aliens" was first written as a Yes song titled "Aliens " which was performed during the first leg of Yes's In the Present world tour, but had never been released on an album.

New World is the debut solo album by American musician, songwriter, producer and sound designer Dave Kerzner. This is Kerzner's first album since his departure from the band Sound of Contact, and was developed in 2014. The album features numerous collaborations with established artists such as Fernando Perdomo, Steve Hackett, Nick D'Virgilio, Durga McBroom and Keith Emerson. Two versions of the album were developed: a standard edition and a two-disc double album deluxe edition. The former was released in December 2014, and the latter was released in January 2015.
Prog is a British magazine dedicated to progressive rock music, published by Future. The magazine, which is edited by Jerry Ewing, was launched in March 2009 as a spin-off from Classic Rock and covers both past and present artists. Other current staff are Hannah May Kilroy, Russell Fairbrother, Natasha Scharf, Jo Kendall and Malcolm Dome.
Invention of Knowledge is the debut studio album by Anderson/Stolt, a collaboration formed by singer-songwriters and musicians Jon Anderson and Roine Stolt. It was released on 24 June 2016 through German independent record label InsideOutMusic. The project originated in 2014 after Anderson had performed with Stolt on a progressive rock-themed cruise, and the two decided to record an album. The recording process involved Anderson recording ideas in demo form in California and sending them online to Stolt in Sweden, who would develop music based on them. Invention of Knowledge was recorded in Sweden by several musicians, including Tom Brislin, Daniel Gildenlöw, and members of Stolt's band The Flower Kings.
The Princes is an Estonian rock band. The band was formed in 2009 by Edward Krimm and Jaagup Tormis, the grandson of one of the greatest living choral composers Veljo Tormis. The current lineup consists of Edward Krimm, Jaagup Tormis, Kaur Garšnek (guitar) and Valdur Viiklepp. All the members have a musical background and have taken part in other musical groups as well. Most notably, Jaagup Tormis has played in Sinine and Pedigree, Kaur Garšnek has played in Kreatiivmootor. Past members of The Princes have included Taavi Paomets, Kostja Tsõbulevski and Madis Viksi.
Synaesthesia is the 2014 debut album by British progressive and alternative rock band Kyros. The album was produced by IQ guitarist, Michael Holmes. All music on Synaesthesia was written originally as a solo studio project by multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, Adam Warne with contributions from fellow Middlesex University attendee, guitarist Nikolas Jon Aarland and further contributions from guitarist, Ollie Hannifan.
