Nuwan Jayawardene (born Sanjeewa Nuwan Jayawardene on 24 October 1978) was a Sri Lankancricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off-break bowler who played for Colts Cricket Club. He was born in Colombo.
Jayawardene made a single first-class appearance for the side, during the 1999–2000 season, against Tamil Union Cricket and Athletic Club. He failed to score a run in either innings in which he batted.
Jayawardene bowled two overs in the match, conceding a single run.

Demuni Nuwan Tharanga Zoysa, or Nuwan Zoysa, is a former Sri Lankan cricketer. He was a tall left-arm seam bowler, who played 30 Tests and 95 One Day Internationals (ODIs) for Sri Lanka. Nuwan was educated at Isipathana College, Colombo.

Mohamed Farveez Maharoof, or Farveez Maharoof, is a Sri Lankan former professional cricketer, who played Tests and ODIs. He first made his impression in the 2004 Under-19 Cricket World Cup in which he captained the Sri Lankan team. He enjoyed a prolific school career for Wesley College, with a highest score of 243 and best bowling figures of 8 for 20. An all-rounder, he made his Test debut in 2004. He was part of the Sri Lankan team which finished as runners-up at the 2007 Cricket World Cup.

Sri Lanka toured England for cricket matches during the 2006 international cricket season. England were back home for the first time since September 2005 and looked to maintain their Test standards, which saw them keep their second place in the ICC Test Championship in India, and the teams were also competing for sixth place in the ICC ODI Championship as both England and Sri Lanka were coming off the back of two lost ODI tours on the Asian sub-continent, against India and Pakistan respectively. To add to problems, both teams were likely to be missing some key members of the team as England were without some of their squad for their previous tour and, two days before Sri Lanka departed for England, it was revealed that skipper Marvan Atapattu would stay at home for the tour due to back problems that had forced him to skip his previous tour too. Jehan Mubarak was brought in as his replacement.

The 2011 Cricket World Cup Final was the final match of the 2011 Men's Cricket World Cup, the 10th edition of ICC's championship of One Day International (ODI) cricket. The match was played between India and Sri Lanka at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on Saturday 2 April 2011. It was the first time that two Asian teams had faced each other in an ODI World Cup final. India won the match by six wickets—its second World Cup win after the 1983 tournament—and became the third team to have won the title more than once, after Australia and the West Indies. India became the first country to win the Cricket World Cup in their own country.
North Central Province cricket team was a Sri Lankan first class cricket team that represents North Central Province. The team was established in 2004 and only featured in two Inter-Provincial First Class Tournaments, the 2003-04 and 2004-05, both of which they came second to Kandurata. Aththachchi Nuwan Pradeep Roshan Fernando, commonly known as Nuwan Pradeep, is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer. Despite being a national cricketer, he had never actually played the game until he was 20 and most importantly never played with leather ball until his 20s. He shot into prominence after winning a bowling speed contest in 2007 and he was sent to Sri Lanka's Cricket Academy and also went onto earn a national test call up less than 3 years later. He is regarded as the most unconventional find of Sri Lanka cricket.
The Sri Lankan cricket team toured Australia from 6 December 2012 to 28 January 2013. The tour consisted of three Tests, five One Day Internationals (ODIs) and two Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). Tests were played for the Warne–Muralidaran Trophy. The Test series was preceded by a match against the Cricket Australia Chairman's XI and Sri Lankans.
The 2004 SLC Twenty20 Tournament is the 1st season of the official Twenty20 domestic cricket competition in Sri Lanka. 15 teams in total, five representing four provinces of Sri Lanka and a Sri Lanka Schools XI team participating in the competition. The competition began on 17 August 2004, when Bloomfield Cricket and Athletic Club played the Police Sports Club at Colts Cricket Club Ground, Colombo.
