Nicosia District is one of the six districts of Cyprus. Its main town is the island country's capital city, Nicosia. The TRNC-controlled northern part of the district is the Lefkoşa District of the unrecognized Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Peristeronopigi or Pigi–Peristerona is a village located in the Famagusta District of Cyprus, 6 km (3.7 mi) south of Lefkoniko, in the Mesaoria plain. Historically, Peristeronopigi consisted of two continuous villages: Peristerona in the south and Pigi in the north. Peristeronopigi is under the de facto control of Northern Cyprus. As of 2011, it had a population of 860.

Kato Moni is connected via road to the village of Orounta in the north, to the village of Agioi Iliofotoi in the south-east, and to the village of Agia Marina Xyliatou in the south-west 3 km). Orfeas Nicosia is a football club from the Cypriot capital of Nicosia. It was founded in 1948. The club colors are yellow and green. It has participated in the Cypriot First Division four times, from 1959 until 1963. The club's highest achievement is finishing 7th in the 1961–62 season.

Olimpiada Neapolis FC FC was a football team based in Neapoli, Nicosia, Cyprus.
