The Obsessed is an American heavy metal band from Potomac, Maryland, led by Scott "Wino" Weinrich. The band combines elements of doom metal, stoner rock, and punk rock. Formed in 1980, they recorded a few demos and played a handful of live shows until they first split up in 1986 when Weinrich joined as lead vocalist for Saint Vitus, but reformed four years later. After releasing three albums, the Obsessed broke up for a second time in 1995. After briefly reuniting for some shows in 2012 and 2013, the Obsessed announced their third reunion in March 2016.
Artillery are a Danish thrash metal band. They participated in the early development of the genre, and their highly energetic, riff-centric and often fast-paced music is similar in style to that of Voivod, Coroner, Megadeth and Sabbat from the same era. After releasing three full-length albums and touring extensively throughout the 1980s and early 1990s, Artillery disbanded in 1991, but reunited seven years later, only to disband once again in 2000. However, they reformed again in 2007 and are still together today.

Nasty Savage is an American thrash metal band from Brandon, Florida, United States. The band rose to popularity primarily due to singer "Nasty" Ronnie Galetti's over-the-top stage show performances. The band was extremely influential in the emergence of the Florida death metal scene, inspiring bands such as Death and Obituary. The second album featuring the hit single "XXX" was recorded at Progressive Music in Tampa. These recordings helped to get the band signed with heavy metal label Metal Blade Records. After releasing three albums and one EP between 1985 and 1989 they broke up. After there had been speculation about a reunion for some time, an album of new material was released in the spring of 2004. Since then, the band has played occasional live shows. In January 2016, it was reported that Nasty Savage was planning to record a new album in the summer of that year. There had been no updates on the new album within the next five years, until Metal Storm reported in September 2021 that it was planned for release later in the year or in 2022.

Black Rose are an English heavy metal band from Teesside in the north east of England. They formed in 1976 under the name Ice but changed it to Black Rose in 1980 and were one of many British bands considered part of the new wave of British heavy metal movement. The original line-up was Steve Bardsley, Kenny Nicholson (guitar), Marty Rajn (bass) and Mark Eason (drums). Over the next nine years the band went through various line-up changes and released quite a few records including two albums: Boys Will Be Boys (1984) and Walk It How You Talk It (1986) before splitting up in 1989. The band then re-formed in 2006 and released their newest album Cure for Your Disease in 2010.
