Osogbo is a city in Nigeria. It is the capital of Osun State. Osogbo city seats the Headquarters of both Osogbo Local Government Area and Olorunda Local Government Area. It is some 88 kilometers by road northeast of Ibadan. It is also 100 kilometers by road south of Ilorin and 115 kilometers northwest of Akure; Osogbo shares boundary with Ikirun, Ilesa, Ede, Egbedore and Iragbiji and is easily accessible from any part of the state because of its central nature. It is about 48 km from Ife, 32 km from Ilesa, 46 km from Iwo, 48 km from Ikire and 46 km from Ila-Orangun; The city had a population of about 156,694 people as of 2006 according to the census; the postal code of the area is 230.

He was appointed by Governor of Oklahoma Brad Henry on October 22, 2007, filling a vacancy created by the retirement of former Justice Robert E. Lavender. Mona Salyer Lambird (1938–1999) was an Oklahoma lawyer who became the first woman president of the Oklahoma Bar Association and the first woman elected to the Board of Governors of the Oklahoma Bar Association. She was inducted into the Oklahoma Women's Hall of Fame in 1995.

After getting his basic legal training from the law school of Southern Methodist University (SMU) plus additional college training, he joined the United States Air Force Judge Advocate General Corps for four years, which exposed him to the many types of legal issues that confront servicemen and women. After completing his duties with the JAG, he performed general civil litigation with a major Oklahoma City law firm. Then, the Governor plucked him from the list of attorneys that had been approved as a potential Justice on the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals.
