Dalarna County is a county or län in central Sweden (Svealand). It borders on the counties of Uppsala, Jämtland, Gävleborg, Västmanland, Örebro and Värmland. It also borders on the Norwegian counties of Hedmark and Trøndelag to the west. It was formerly known as Kopparberg County until the name was changed to that of the provincial region on 1 January 1997. The province of Dalarna is slightly larger than the county, as the westernmost part of Ljusdal Municipality belongs to it.

Norn was an industrial community in central Sweden, near Hedemora in Dalarna, within the present-day Hedemora Municipality. It was founded in 1628 by Lars Larsson. There, he constructed a smelting-house for the excavation of iron ore. The industry had continued for almost three hundred years when it finally shut down in 1916, though the power station that supplied electricity to the village is still in use. There are several mines in the surrounding forest, although none of them is currently operating. The village consists of a number of houses including a chapel, a blacksmith, a school, a watermill, and a library.

Teaterladan, officially Hedemora Gamla Theater, is a theatre and a listed building in Hedemora, Dalarna County, Sweden. It was built somewhere between 1826 and 1829 as a combined barn and theatre in three floors, with the stage and dressing rooms at the top and the storage area at the two lower floors. The first performance at the stage was a play performed by A. P. Bergmans Sällskap on February 1, 1829.

Järnhandelns hus, also known as Gamla järnhandeln, is a building located in the block Orren in Hedemora, Dalarna County, Sweden. The building was erected 1905–1906 for ironmonger V A Grundin, after blueprints by Carl Johan Carlsson (Perne). The house has three floors and a basement. On the ground floor there were spaces for three stores and a further five rooms. On the two upper floors thirteen and eight rooms were located, and located around the house were a number of smaller spaces, such as bathrooms and porches. Many changes were made to the building, especially during the 1930s. In 1921 a vault was added in the premises of the Lantmannabankens, designed by Perne. A water closet and a central heating system were installed 1930–1932.

Wahlmanska huset, also gamla varmbadhuset is a building in Hedemora, Sweden, and a listed building since 2010. The house is named after the architect Lars Israel Wahlman, and was built in 1899 as the town's bath. It served as such until 1974, when the swimming- and sports venue Vasahallen was built. Wahlmanska huset was then left to degenerate until 1982, when a restoration was conducted and the building became a gallery for temporary art exhibitions.
