Olivia Lewis (born 29 April 1999) is an Australian netball player in the Suncorp Super Netball league, playing for the Melbourne Mavericks
Lewis attended Kolbe Catholic College in Rockingham, Western Australia. [2]
Lewis was signed by the West Coast Fever ahead of the 2019 season. [3] The defender grew up playing netball for the Rockingham District Netball Association before moving to Coastal Sharks academy in Western Australia.
A prodigious junior talent saw her win national MVP awards at under 17 and 19 levels. Prior to being picked up by the Fever, she was MVP for the club's reserves team, the Western Sting in the Australian Netball League, [4] and was a part of their maiden ANL premiership in 2017. Playing in the Western Australian Netball league, Olivia was awarded the Jill McIntosh medal as the Most Valuable player for the 2018 season.
She made her Suncorp super netball debut in round 1 of 2019 against Adelaide Thunderbirds. A promising first season saw her take to the court nine times and receive the Fever Coaches Award, culminating in her being selected for the 2019 Australian Development squad. In 2020, she was impressive enough in her ten appearances to be selected again in the Australian Development squad for 2020/2021. In 2021, her eight appearances were as an impact player with very little court time. However, she was again selected in the 2021/22 Australian Development squad.
She signed with the Melbourne Vixens [5] for the 2022 season, debuting in round 1 as Vixens player 59. She was part of a resurgent Vixens team, taking to the court 12 times, including in their unsuccessful Grand Final against Fever. Olivia was named joint captain of Victoria Fury [6] for their 2022 campaign in the Australian Netball Championships leading them into the Gold medal match against South Australian Force. Given more court time in 2023, Olivia made a name for herself for handling the taller goal shooters of the competition.
Liv was recruited as one of the startup players with the new franchise, Melbourne Mavericks, for 2024, and elected into the leadership group.
Melbourne Vixens is an Australian professional netball team based in Melbourne, Victoria. Since 2017 they have represented Netball Victoria in Suncorp Super Netball. Between 2008 and 2016, they played in the ANZ Championship. The team was formed in 2007 when Netball Victoria merged its two former Commonwealth Bank Trophy league teams, Melbourne Phoenix and Melbourne Kestrels. Vixens have won three premierships, in 2009, 2014 and 2020.
West Coast Fever is a professional Australian netball team based in Perth, Western Australia. Since 2017 they have played in Suncorp Super Netball. Between 2008 and 2016, they competed in the ANZ Championship. Between 1997 and 2007, as Perth Orioles, they competed in the Commonwealth Bank Trophy league. During the ANZ Championship era, Fever were the only Australian team not to win a title, play in a grand final or feature in a finals series. However, during the Suncorp Super Netball era they emerged as challengers. They were grand finalists in both 2018 and 2020, and eventually claimed their first premiership in 2022.

Karyn Bailey is a former Australian netball player who played for the Melbourne Vixens, Adelaide Thunderbirds. and played for the Surrey Storm (UK) from 2018 - 2021. After Storm's final game on Monday 21st June 2021, she retired from domestic netball after 17 years of playing top-flight netball.
Mwai Kumwenda(Note 1) is a Malawian netball international player. She represented Malawi at the 2010, 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games and at the 2011 and 2015 Netball World Cups. Kumwenda was the top goal scorer at three successive major tournaments – the 2014 Commonwealth Games, the 2015 Netball World Cup and the 2018 Commonwealth Games. At the 2015 Netball World Cup she was also named player of the tournament. Kumwenda captained Malawi and was again tournament top scorer when they finished third at the 2016 Fast5 Netball World Series. At club level Kumwenda has played for Peninsula Waves in the Victorian Netball League, Victorian Fury in the Australian Netball League, Mainland Tactix in the ANZ Championship and for Melbourne Vixens in Suncorp Super Netball.

The 2019 Suncorp Super Netball season was the third season of the premier netball league in Australia. The season began on 27 April and concluded on 15 September 2019, however it was suspended for most of the month of July due to the Netball World Cup, which was played in Liverpool.

The 2020 Suncorp Super Netball season was the fourth season of the premier netball league in Australia. The season was originally scheduled to commence on 2 May, though was delayed to 1 August due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The defending premiers, New South Wales Swifts were eliminated in the first week of the finals series by the eventual runners-up West Coast Fever. The premiers were the Melbourne Vixens, who defeated the Fever by two goals in the Grand Final at Nissan Arena in Brisbane.
The 2021 Suncorp Super Netball season was the fifth season of the premier netball league in Australia. The season commenced on 1 May and concluded with the Grand Final on 28 August. The defending premiers were the Melbourne Vixens, but they were unsuccessful in making the finals series. The New South Wales Swifts won their second premiership in three years, after defeating Giants Netball 63–59 in the Grand Final.
The 2022 Suncorp Super Netball season was the sixth season of the premier netball league in Australia. The season commenced on 26 March and concluded with the Grand Final on 3 July. The defending premiers were the New South Wales Swifts, who narrowly missed out on the finals series. The West Coast Fever won their very first premiership in the club's history, after defeating the Melbourne Vixens 70–59 in the Grand Final.
The 2023 Suncorp Super Netball season was the seventh season of the premier netball league in Australia. The season commenced on Saturday 18 March and concluded with the Grand Final on Saturday 8 July at John Cain Arena. The defending premiers were the West Coast Fever, who were eliminated in the Preliminary Final by the New South Wales Swifts. The Adelaide Thunderbirds won their first premiership in 10 years, narrowly defeating the New South Wales Swifts 60-59 after an extra time Grand Final thriller. This season was the last season to feature the Collingwood Magpies, who withdrew from the competition at the end of the season due to financial difficulties.
The 2024 Suncorp Super Netball season is the eighth season of the premier netball league in Australia. The season commenced on Saturday 13 April and will conclude with the Grand Final on Saturday 3 August at Adelaide Entertainment Centre. The defending premiers are the Adelaide Thunderbirds.
