Bushey Museum is in Bushey, Hertfordshire. It was officially opened as a volunteer-run museum in October 1993, having achieved Full Registration with the Museums and Galleries Commission. In the week prior to opening, the Museum won joint first prize in the prestigious Gulbenkian Foundation Awards for the best achievement by museums operating with limited resources. The building, on Rudolph Road in Bushey, had been built in 1909 as the offices of Bushey Urban District Council, and had passed to Hertsmere Borough Council on local government reorganisation in 1974.
The Bahman Cultural Center is municipally created public space for cultural advancement in Tehran. The Shrine of Our Lady of the Prairies is a traditionalist Catholic shrine in Powers Lake, North Dakota. It was established in the 1950s by Reverend Fredric J. Nelson, who also published the "Maryfaithful" magazine. Father Nelson started a grade school and high school in 1961, and built a retirement home also. He founded an order of nuns, the Marian Sisters, headed by Sister Lillian. He had "pilgrimages" during the summer months, drawing thousands of faithful from all over the world to Powers Lake. After Father Nelson's passing, their numbers began to dwindle.
Carthage Central High School is located on a 123 acres (50 ha) site in a rural geographic area of northern New York State, 40 mi (64 km) from the Canada–United States border, 6 mi (9.7 km) south of Fort Drum, 15 mi (24 km) east of Watertown, and 90 mi (140 km) northeast of Syracuse. The high school serves the villages of Carthage, West Carthage, Black River, Great Bend, Felts Mills, Deferiet, Deer River, Herrings and Natural Bridge along with a portion of the housing at the Fort Drum Army base. The population within this area is approximately 22,000. The high school is on Route 26, 1.5 mi (2.4 km) east from the intersection of Route 26 and Route 126 in West Carthage and serves an area of about 260 sq mi (670 km2). It maintains a population of about 950 for grades 9–12.
The Fort Yuma Indian Reservation is a part of the traditional lands of the Quechan people. Established in 1884 from the former Fort Yuma, the reservation, at 32°47′04″N114°38′43″W, has a land area of 178.197 km2 (68.802 sq mi) in southeastern Imperial County, California, and western Yuma County, Arizona, near the city of Yuma, Arizona. Both the county and city are named for the tribe. As of the 2010 Census the population was 2,189. In 1910, the community of Bard, California, was created after the eastern part of the reservation was declared surplus under the Dawes Act.
Tendoy is an unincorporated community in Lemhi County, Idaho, United States, located at 44°57′34″N113°38′41″W on State Highway 28, at an altitude of 4,842 feet (1,476 m). It consists of a small general store and house. It was named for Tendoy, a prominent Lemhi Shoshone chief in the mid-19th century.
The Dechen Cave in Iserlohn, Germany is one of the most visited show caves in Germany. It is located in the northern part of the Sauerland at Iserlohn. 360 metres of the 870-metre long cave have been laid out for visitors, beginning at the spot where, in 1868, the cave was discovered by two railway workers. The workers dropped a hammer into a rock crevice which turned out to be the entrance to a dripstone cave when they were searching for the lost tool.
