One Day is the sixth studio album by Klymaxx, released in 1994 (see 1994 in music). The album has sold approximately 40,000 copies in the United States.

Klymaxx is an American all-female pop/R&B band from Los Angeles, California. Created and formed in 1979 by producer/drummer/singer Bernadette Cooper, the other original members included Lorena Porter Shelby, Cheryl Cooley (guitar), Robbin Grider (keyboards) and Lynn Malsby (keyboards). Joyce "Fenderella" Irby (bass/vocals) joined the band a bit later, but before the recording of their debut album. The group disbanded in 1994, but reformed in 2003 and are currently touring across the United States.

A Tribe Called Quest was an American hip hop collective formed in 1985 and originally composed of MC and main producer Q-Tip, MC Phife Dawg, DJ and co-producer Ali Shaheed Muhammad, and MC Jarobi White, who left the group amicably in 1991. The album was released in response to the record company's accusations that Mellencamp's previous album, Human Wheels, didn't "fit the format." Mellencamp was irritated with this remark, feeling that none of his albums ever fit the format. As a result, he wrote several purposely radio-friendly songs and recorded them within the span of 14 days at his Belmont Mall recording studio in Belmont, Indiana, intending to show the lack of effort required to produce the type of album they were asking for.
