Oregon's 44th House district

District 44 of the Oregon House of Representatives is one of 60 House legislative districts in the state of Oregon. As of 2021, the district is contained entirely within Multnomah County and covers parts of north and northeast Portland, including the Portland International Airport. The current representative for the district is Democrat Travis Nelson of Portland. [1] [2]

The 2022 Oregon gubernatorial election took place on November 8, 2022, to elect the governor of Oregon. The incumbent governor, Democrat Kate Brown, took office on February 18, 2015, upon the resignation of John Kitzhaber. She was subsequently elected in the gubernatorial special election in 2016, and was re-elected to a full term in 2018. Due to term limits, she was unable to run again in 2022.
