Orre is a village and parish in Klepp municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The village is located just southwest of the lake Orrevatnet, between the lake and the ocean. Orre is the location of the Orrestranda beach, one of the longest sand beaches in Norway. The area is very flat, and it is primarily used for agriculture. The Old Orre Church, built in the 1200s, is located in Orre. The "new" Orre Church was built in 1950 in the nearby village of Pollestad, about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) to the southeast. [2]

The church is part of the Orre parish in the Jæren deanery in the Diocese of Stavanger. The small, stone church was built around the year 1250. It is situated on a small sandy strip of land between the lake Orrevatnet and the Orrestranda beach along the North Sea. The church is said to have been built by English monks. The church only seated about 150 people. In 1950, the "new" Orre Church was completed in the nearby village of Pollestad.

The church seats about 630 people and it was consecrated on 14 December 2008. The church cost 62.5 million kr. The church is the first church in the Church of Norway to have a baptismal pool in addition to a baptismal font.
