Merge Records is an independent record label based in Durham, North Carolina. It was founded in 1989 by Laura Ballance and Mac McCaughan. It began as a way to release music from their band Superchunk and music created by friends, and has expanded to include artists from around the world and records reaching the top of the Billboard music charts.
The Jesus Lizard is an American rock band formed in 1987 in Austin, Texas and based in Chicago, Illinois. They were "a leading noise rock band in the American independent underground…[who] turned out a series of independent records filled with scathing, disembowelling, guitar-driven pseudo-industrial noise, all of which received positive reviews in underground music publications and heavy college-radio play."
Human Touch is the ninth studio album by Bruce Springsteen. The album was released March 31, 1992, the same day as Lucky Town. It was the more popular of the two, peaking at number two on the Billboard 200, with "Human Touch" peaking at number one on the Mainstream Rock chart and #16 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. "Human Touch" has since sold more than one million copies in the United States, and was nominated for Best Rock Vocal Performance at the 1993 Grammy Awards.
Spiderland is the second and final studio album by the American rock band Slint. Touch and Go Records issued the album on March 27, 1991, as the band's first release on the independent label. Slint's lineup featured Brian McMahan on vocals and guitar, David Pajo on guitar, Todd Brashear on bass guitar, and Britt Walford on drums. Walford also played lead vocals and guitar on the track "Don, Aman". Brian Paulson engineered the album, which comprises six songs across approximately 40 minutes.
Invisible Touch is the thirteenth studio album by the English rock band Genesis, released on 6 June 1986 by Atlantic Records in the United States and 9 June 1986 by Charisma and Virgin Records in the United Kingdom. After taking a break in group activity for each member to continue with their solo projects in 1984, the band reconvened in October 1985 to write and record Invisible Touch with engineer and producer Hugh Padgham. As with their previous album, it was written entirely through group improvisations and no material developed prior to recording was used.

On February 14, the aforementioned labels serviced the song to US mainstream radio stations as the album's fourth single. Miss A was a South Korean girl group formed by JYP Entertainment. The group debuted in July 2010 with the single "Bad Girl Good Girl" as a quartet consisting of Fei, Jia, Min, and Suzy. Their debut song reached number one on the Gaon Digital Chart, which made them the first act ever to have their debut song reach the top of the chart, the song also became the best-performing single of 2010 on the chart.

Judith Katrijntje "Trijntje" Oosterhuis is a Dutch singer and songwriter. She formed the band Total Touch in 1990 with her brother Tjeerd Oosterhuis before she started as a solo singer. She represented the Netherlands in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song "Walk Along", placing fourteen in the first semi-final with 33 points and winning the Barbara Dex Award of the year.

Invisible Touch Tour is a live video by the English rock band Genesis, released in 1988 on Virgin Music Video. It was the first concert ever shot in High Definition and cameras and lenses had to be flown in from the USA and Japan. It was directed by Jim Yukich and produced by Paul Flattery of FYI. It was edited at the band's facilities known as The Farm by Jerry Behrens and David Foster. It documents the band's four sold out shows at Wembley Stadium in London between 1–4 July 1987 at the end of their Invisible Touch Tour promoting their thirteenth studio album, Invisible Touch. A limited edition release included a CD single containing the live version of "Domino" as performed on the video. In 2003, the video was reissued on DVD and renamed Genesis Live at Wembley Stadium.
American Pride is the fourteenth studio album by the country music band Alabama, released in 1992 by RCA Nashville. It included the singles "I'm in a Hurry ", "Take a Little Trip", "Hometown Honeymoon" and "Once Upon a Lifetime". "I'm in a Hurry" was a Number One hit for the band, while the other singles all reached the Top Five on the U.S. country charts. "Between the Two of Them" was later released as a single by Tanya Tucker from her 1994 album Fire to Fire.
