Over Her Dead Body is a Nigerian comedy film about how mothers love their sons at the detriments of their daughter in-laws. The film was produced by the Pen Pusher production and distributed by a Nollywood distribution company known as Genesis. It was written, produced and directed by Sola Osofisan. [1] It was released January 7, 2022.

Plot

Zara's mother in-law after escaping death from highway thieves decided to stay with her son with the aim of taking care of her grandchildren. Upon arrival at their home, she discovered the couple doesn't have a child yet, hence she maltreats and pressures Zara to the extent that she had to fight back which turn the house to a war zone. [2]

One of her major film roles include ‘One Lagos Night’, 2019. She also leads as Shindara in Episode 4 of Showmax's Original Drama series ‘Crime and Justice Lagos’ 2022. In 2024, she won the best supporting actress at the 2024 AMVCA for her role in Breath of Life .

The Black Book is a 2023 Nigerian crime thriller film produced and directed by Editi Effiong, starring Richard Mofe-Damijo, Sam Dede, Shaffy Bello, Femi Branch, Alex Usifo, Ade Laoye and Ireti Doyle. The film was released to Netflix on 22 September 2023, Nigerian online newspaper Premium Times has likened Richard Mofe-Damijo's character in the film to John Wick's character owing to the storyline leaning towards a former hitman who is now drawn back into the criminal underworld he had abandoned.

A Tribe Called Judah is a 2023 Nigerian film produced by Funke Akindele and starring Funke Akindele, Timini Egbuson, Jide Kene Achufusi, Uzee Usman, Tobi Makinde Olumide Oworu, Genoveva Umeh, Nse Ikpe Etim, Juliana Olayode, Uzor Arukwe, Fathia Balogun, Yvonne Jegede and many others. The film was released to cinemas nationwide on December 15, 2023. Akindele has said the film is dedicated to her late mother and draws partially from her mother's life.
