The International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry is an international federation of National Adhering Organizations working for the advancement of the chemical sciences, especially by developing nomenclature and terminology. It is a member of the International Science Council (ISC). IUPAC is registered in Zürich, Switzerland, and the administrative office, known as the "IUPAC Secretariat", is in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, United States. This administrative office is headed by IUPAC's executive director, currently Greta Heydenrych.

The People's Justice Party ; often known simply as KEADILAN or PKR, is a reformist political party in Malaysia formed on 3 August 2003 through a merger of the party's predecessor, the National Justice Party, with the socialist Malaysian People's Party. The party's predecessor was founded by Wan Azizah Wan Ismail during the height of the Reformasi movement on 4 April 1999 after the arrest of her husband, former Deputy Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. The party is one of main partners of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition.

The 2007 Ijok by-election was held on 28 April 2007. The seat of Ijok in the State Legislative Assembly of Selangor, Malaysia, fell vacant after the death of the incumbent, K. Sivalingam, on 4 April 2007 from a heart attack. Sivalingam was a member of the state executive council as well as the deputy chairman of the Selangor state Malaysian Indian Congress (MIC), a component party of the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition. The by-election was won by the BN candidate K. Parthiban, with a 1,850-vote majority over the opposition candidate, Khalid Ibrahim.

Mohamed Azmin bin Ali is a Malaysian politician who is the current State Leader of the Opposition of Selangor and member of the Selangor State Legislative Assembly for Hulu Kelang since August 2023. Formerly a member of the Malaysian Parliament for Gombak from 2008 to 2022, Azmin served in the cabinets of Muhyiddin Yassin and Ismail Sabri Yaakob as Senior Minister of the Economic Cluster and Minister of International Trade and Industry from 2020 to 2022. A member of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (BERSATU), which is a component party of Perikatan Nasional coalition, Azmin also served as a member of the Selangor State Legislative Assembly for Bukit Antarabangsa from 2008 to 2023.

Adam Adli bin Abd Halim is a Malaysian politician and student activist who has served as the Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports in the Unity Government administration under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Minister Hannah Yeoh Tseow Suan since December 2022 and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Hang Tuah Jaya since November 2022. He is a member of the People's Justice Party (PKR), a component party of the PH coalition. He has also served as the 5th Youth Chief of PKR and Deputy Youth Chief of PH since July 2022.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Pakatan Harapan</span> Malaysian political coalition

The Alliance of Hope is a Malaysian political coalition consisting of centre-left political parties which was formed in 2015 to succeed the Pakatan Rakyat coalition. It has been part of a "Unity Government" since November 2022 together with other political coalitions and parties as a result of the 2022 Malaysian general election, and previously for 22 months after it had won the 2018 Malaysian general election until February 2020 when it lost power as a result of the 2020 Malaysian political crisis at the federal level. The coalition deposed the Barisan Nasional coalition government during the 2018 election, ending its 60-year-long reign since independence.

Datuk Christina Liew is a Hong Kong-born Malaysian politician who has served as the State Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment of Sabah for the second term in the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) state administration under Chief Minister Hajiji Noor since January 2023 and the first term in the Heritage Party (WARISAN) state administration under former Chief Minister Shafie Apdal from May 2018 to the collapse of the WARISAN administration in September 2020 as well as Member of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Api-Api since May 2013. She also served as the Deputy Chief Minister III in the WARISAN administration under Shafie from May 2018 to September 2020, and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Tawau from May 2018 to November 2022. She is a member and Division Chief of Api-Api of the People's Justice Party (PKR), a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition and formerly Barisan Alternatif (BA) and Pakatan Rakyat (PR) opposition coalitions. She has served as Vice President of PH since September 2017 and State Chairperson of PH of Sabah since August 2017. She has also served as Member of the Central Leadership Council (MPP) of PKR and Division Chairperson of Kota Kinabalu of PKR since July 2022. She also served as the State Chairperson of PKR of Sabah from October 2016 to her removal from the position in August 2022. She was also the Vice President of PKR. She was a member of the United Sabah Party (PBS) and Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA), component parties of the Gagasan Rakyat (GR) and Barisan Nasional (BN) coalitions.

Datuk Jonathan bin Yasin is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ranau since May 2018. He served as the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs II for the second term in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob and former Minister Hamzah Zainuddin from August 2021 to the collapse of the BN administration in November 2022 and the first term in Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration under former Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and former Minister Hamzah from March 2020 to the collapse of the PN administration in August 2021. He is a direct member of the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) coalition. He joined the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU), a component party of the PN coalition after resigning from the People's Justice Party (PKR), a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) opposition coalition. He later resigned from BERSATU but remained in GRS as direct member.

Awang Husaini bin Sahari is a Malaysian politician who served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Putatan from May 2018 to November 2022. He is a member of the People's Justice Party (PKR), a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition. He has served as the Vice President of PKR since July 2022. He is also brother of Member of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Petagas Awang Ahmad Sah Awang Sahari.

Steven Choong Shiau Yoon is a Malaysian politician who served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Tebrau from May 2018 to November 2022. He is a member of the Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) and was a member of the People's Justice Party (PKR), a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) and formerly Pakatan Rakyat (PR) coalitions. He has served as the Deputy President of PBM since February 2023. He served as the Senior Vice President I of PBM from January 2022 to his promotion to the party deputy presidency in February 2023. He also served as the Division Chief of PKR of Tebrau from 2014 to his resignation from the party in February 2021 and the Division Chief of PKR of Ayer Hitam from 2012 to 2013 as well as the Deputy Secretary-General of PKR from 2011 to 2014. During the 2020–2022 Malaysian political crisis and in February 2021, Choong resigned from PKR and became an independent MP supporting Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition along with Julau MP Larry Sng Wei Shien.

He is a member of the Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM). He was a member of the People's Justice Party (PKR), a component party of the PH coalition. He also served as the Vice President of PKR from November 2018 to his resignation from the party in March 2021. He is the father of the Vice Women Chief of PKR Sangetha Jayakumar.

Datuk Willie anak Mongin is a Malaysian politician, software engineer and technopreneur who has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Puncak Borneo since May 2018. He served as the Deputy Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities II for the second term in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob and former Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin from August 2021 to the collapse of the BN administration in November 2022 and the first term in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration under former Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and former Minister Khairuddin Razali from March 2020 to the collapse of the PN administration in August 2021. Hassan bin Abdul Karim is a Malaysian politician and lawyer who has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Pasir Gudang since May 2018. He served as Chairman of the Federal-State Relations Select Committee from December 2018 to November 2022. He is a member of the People's Justice Party (PKR), a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition and formerly Pakatan Rakyat (PR) coalitions and was a member of the Parti Rakyat Malaysia (PRM), a component party of the Barisan Alternatif (BA) coalition. He served as the State Chairman of PKR of Johor from 2014 to his resignation in July 2019 and the 5th President of PRM from April 2005 to November 2009. He is a member of the People's Justice Party (PKR), a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition. He served as the State Chairman of PKR of Johor from September 2019 to August 2022, spokesperson of PKR, information chief of PKR, vice president of Bersih 2.0, activist of Ikram Malaysia (IKRAM), chairman of the Gerakan Mansuh ISA (GMI) which is the Internal Security Act (ISA) Abolition Movement and the assistant general manager of Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM). He worked with TM from 1989 to 2014.
