Paipra Radhakrishnan is a Malayalam writer, columnist, editor and cultural observer. He was the Secretary of Kerala Sahitya Akademi during the period 1991-1995. He is the president of Akshaya Pusthaka Nidhi, and Director, Arshavidyapeedom. He writes the much acclaimed cultural critic column Aazhchavettom in Kalakaumudi weekly. [1] He has authored many books of short stories, essays, and children's literature. He represented Kerala in many international and national literary events and book festivals.

Malayalam language spoken in Kerala and Lakshadweep of India

Malayalam is a Dravidian language spoken in the Indian state of Kerala and the union territories of Lakshadweep and Puducherry (Mahé) by the Malayali people, and it is one of 22 scheduled languages of India. Malayalam has official language status in the state of Kerala and in the union territories of Lakshadweep and Puducherry (Mahé) and is spoken by 38 million people worldwide. Malayalam is also spoken by linguistic minorities in the neighbouring states; with significant number of speakers in the Nilgiris, Kanyakumari, and Coimbatore districts of Tamil Nadu, and Kodagu and Dakshina Kannada districts of Karnataka. Kerala Sahitya Akademi or Academy for Malayalam literature is an autonomous body established to promote Malayalam language and literature. It is situated in City of Thrissur, Kerala in India.

<i>Kalakaumudi</i>

Kalakaumudi (Malayalam:കലാകൗമുദി) is an illustrated weekly news magazine published in Malayalam language from Kerala, India. It is printed in Thiruvananthapuram and distributed throughout Kerala by Kalakaumudi Publications Pvt. Ltd. Kalakaumudi was launched in 1975 by M. S. Mani the eldest son of K Sukumaran, founder-editor of Kerala Kaumudi Daily. Kalakaumudi was a by-product of the emergency-call by late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in 1975. The publication zoomed to fame by its sharply worded editorials, socio-political write-ups, in-depth reporting, election analysis, etc.

Personal life

Paipra Radhakrishnan was born in a small village of Paipra, in Ernakulam district to Vadakkanchery Akathoottu Bhargavi Kunjamma and Methala Thattayath Puthankottayil Neelakandan Karthav. He completed his studies from Govt. UPS, Paipra and GHS Cheruvattoor, Sree Sankara Vidyapeetom, Maharaja's College, Ernakulam, and NSS Training College, Changanassery. He worked in various Civil Supplies Department and Public Education Department, Govt. of Kerala. He retired from Govt. service as High School Teacher from Govt. HSS, Methala during the year 2007. His wife Nalini Bekal is a famous novelist and writer in Malayalam. They have two daughter, Dr. Anuradha Dilip works as Ayurveda Medical Officer and Anuja Akathoottu is agricultural economist by profession. Anuja writes poems in Malayalam and published two books, Pothuvakya Sammelanam and Aromayude Vastrangal and won many state level poetry awards.

The Sree Sankara Vidyapeetom (SSV) college is a college in Kerala, India, located at Valayanchirangara, a village on the outskirts of Perumbavoor town.

The Maharaja's College is an Indian government college of higher education located in Kochi, Kerala. Established in 1875, it is one of the oldest colleges in India. Thoniyan Puthiyapurayil Shihabuddin, better known as Shihabuddin Poythumkadavu or Shihabuddin Poithumkadavu ,(Malayalam: ശിഹാബുദ്ദീൻ പൊയ്ത്തുംകടവ്; born 29 October 1963) is an Indian writer, journalist, poet, orator and television personality. He is a creative writer in Malayalam who has been writing short stories, novellas, novels, essays and poems since 1982. His works have appeared in all leading Malayalam magazines viz.
