The Gulf of Saint Lawrence is the outlet of the North American Great Lakes via the Saint Lawrence River into the Atlantic Ocean. The gulf is a semi-enclosed sea, covering an area of about 226,000 square kilometres (87,000 sq mi) and containing about 34,500 cubic kilometres (8,300 cu mi) of water, which results in an average depth of 152 metres (499 ft).
CBOX-FM is a non-commercial French-language radio station. It broadcasts the Société Radio-Canada's Ici Musique network in Ottawa, Ontario. CBOX's studios are located in the CBC Ottawa Broadcast Centre on Queen Street in Downtown Ottawa, while its transmitter is located in Camp Fortune, Quebec. The Esso Club is a sports bar in Clemson, South Carolina, that evolved from a 1920s gas station and grocery on Old Greenville Highway, which was at the time the main highway between Atlanta, Georgia and Greenville, South Carolina. As local historians note, the corporate trademark change to Exxon went unnoticed by local patrons and the original Esso oval sign is still displayed out front. The business stopped pumping gas in the winter of 1985 and now functions as a sports bar. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution described it as the best bar in the South.

The lake's name and that of the surrounding Shuswap Country is from the Shuswap people (Secwepemc), the most northern of the Salishan speaking people.

The French submarine Rubis was a Saphir-class minelaying submarine which first served in the French submarine pavilion, then the Free French Naval Forces (FNFL) during the Second World War and back with the French Navy. The boat was awarded numerous awards. Accordingly, as a result of Rubis's service with the FNFL, the boat was made a companion of the Ordre de la Libération by a decree issued by General Charles de Gaulle on 14 October 1941.

Mulhurst Bay, or Mulhurst, is a hamlet in central Alberta, Canada within the County of Wetaskiwin No. 10. It is located 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) northwest of Highway 13A, approximately 38 kilometres (24 mi) southwest of Leduc.
Empire Bay was a 2,824 GRT collier. She was built by W Gray & Co Ltd, Hartlepool in 1940. She was owned by the Ministry of War Transport (MoWT) and managed by the Joseph Constantine Steamship Line Ltd. Empire Bay was sunk by German bombing off Middlesbrough on 15 January 1942.
Hanborough is a civil parish in West Oxfordshire. The parish includes the villages of Church Hanborough and Long Hanborough. The village of Freeland was transferred from Eynsham civil parish to Hanborough in 1932 and then detached to form a separate civil parish in 1948. NGC 4212 is a flocculent spiral galaxy with LINER activity located about 53 million light-years away in the constellation Coma Berenices. The galaxy was discovered by astronomer William Herschel on April 8, 1784 and was listed in the NGC catalog as NGC 4208. He then observed the same galaxy and listed it as NGC 4212. Astronomer John Louis Emil Dreyer later concluded that NGC 4208 was identical to NGC 4212. NGC 4212 is a member of the Virgo Cluster.
