The Parangal sa Kapanalig ng Sandatahang Lakas ng Pilipinas [1] is a military decoration of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. It is presented to an individual or individuals that has rendered achievements in support of the public affairs operations, public information and education objectives of the AFP. [2]

Armed Forces of the Philippines combined military forces of the Philippines

The Armed Forces of the Philippines are the military forces of the Philippines. It consists of the three main service branches; the Army, the Navy and the Air Force. The President of the Philippines is the Commander-in-Chief of the AFP and forms military policy with the Department of National Defense, an executive department acting as the principal organ by which military policy is carried out, while the Chief of Staff is the overall commander and the highest-ranking officer in the AFP. A previous attached branch is the defunct Philippine Constabulary, while the Philippine Coast Guard is a wartime attached service. Military service is entirely voluntary.

The medal is awarded to personnel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Filipino citizens, military personnel [3] and citizens of allied nations with the Philippines, Tri-media and Public Affairs Practitioners as well as Journalist. [1] The medal recognizes meritorious and invaluable contributions [4] that highly promoted or influenced the defense accomplishments and national security objectives of the AFP by means of utilizing mass media. The actions rendered by the awardee should be exceptional and greatly contributed to the accomplishments of the defense and national security objectives of the AFP.

Meritorious Achievement Medal

The Meritorious Achievement Medal is a military decoration of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. It is presented to an individual that has rendered achievements in the field of Science, Socioeconomic, Public Service, Technical and Military fields related to National Defense that merit public recognition to a lesser degree that was to be awarded the Outstanding Achievement Medal. The actions rendered by the awardee should be exceptionally meritorious and greatly contributed to the accomplishments of the defense and national security objectives of the AFP.

Reserve Officer (Volunteer) and Enlisted Personnel (Volunteer) of the Year Medal

The Reserve Officer (Volunteer) and Enlisted Personnel (Volunteer) of the Year Medal is a military decoration of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. It is awarded to individual reservists of the Armed Forces of the Philippines annually on the basis of meritorious, exemplary, and recognizable performance of duties while volunteering for Annual Active Duty Training.

The Distinguished Service Medal is a military decoration of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. It is presented to a Flag Officer, Senior Officer (O-6) and Senior Non-Commissioned Officers for honorable and valuable services rendered while serving in a position of major responsibility which further merits public recognition to a lesser degree that was to be awarded the Distinguished Service Star.
