Pau Durà (born 1972) is a Spanish actor and director of film, theater, and television, known for his roles in Merlí and Plats bruts . He received a diploma in interpretation from the Superior School of Dramatic Art at the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona, where he was from 1990 to 1993. [1]

Plats bruts is a sitcom issued for TV3. The story talks about the life of Josep Lopes and David Güell. The show was co-produced by Kràmpack, El Terrat and Televisió de Catalunya.

He joined the cast of the Telecinco series 7 vidas in September 2000, its third season, playing Alex, a brother of Paco (Javier Cámara). In 2011, he appeared in the Canal+ series Crematorio , playing Zarrategui, the lawyer for the Bertomeu family. Durà says "Zarrategui is an effective lawyer and is congruent with his goals, is neat, and a little mysterious. I do my job, I love him and I try to do my best as a lawyer, without entering into moral disquisitions." [2]

Telecinco Private Spanish generalist television network

Telecinco is a Spanish free-to-air television channel operated by Mediaset España Comunicación. The channel was previously known as Tele 5, because it had first begun its experimental transmissions on 10 March 1989, and a year later, it was officially launched on 3 March 1990, as well as it became the fifth of the national terrestrial television channels and the second private channel in Spain. In 1997, Tele 5 was rebranded as Telecinco, dropping the biscione-absent flower logo seen in other Mediaset channel logos.

7 Vidas is a Spanish sitcom which aired on Telecinco from 1999 to 2006. Its title translates as "7 lives" and the symbol of the sitcom is a cat, in reference to the belief that cats have 7 lives.

Javier Cámara Rodríguez is a Spanish actor. He starred in the Pedro Almodóvar films Talk to Her (2002), Bad Education (2004) and I'm So Excited (2013), and the television series 7 Vidas. He played Cardinal Bernardo Gutierrez in the HBO series The Young Pope as well as Guillermo Pallomari, the chief accountant of the Cali Cartel, in season 3 of the Netflix series Narcos.

In 2014, he joined the Telecinco series El Príncipe, playing Serra, the head of the CNI. [3] At the time he created the persona, he referenced Russell Crowe's work in the film Body of Lies . [4] In 2014, he directed Un aire de familia, by Agnès Jaoui and Jean-Pierre Bacri, at the Romea Theater  (es ; ca ) in Barcelona. It was nominated for 5 Premios Max in 2014, among them Best Director and Best Theater Show, and 7 Butaca Awards, among them Best Director and Best Show. It is the Catalan version of Como en las mejores familias, which Durá acted in 2004 with Javier Cámara, Blanca Portillo, Julieta Serrano, Nathalie Poza and Gonzalo de Castro. [5] That same year, he co-directed Ulisses in Berlin, by Francesc Sanguino, at the Rialto Theater in Valencia  (es ). [6]

Body of Lies is a 2008 American action thriller film directed and produced by Ridley Scott. Set in the Middle East, it follows the attempts of the CIA and Jordanian Intelligence to catch "al-Saleem", a terrorist. Frustrated by their target's elusiveness, differences in their approaches strain relations between a CIA operative, his superior, and the head of Jordanian Intelligence. It stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Russell Crowe, and Mark Strong as the three principals.

Since September 2015, he has played Toni in the TV3 series Merlí, the director of the Àngel Guimerà Institute and a work companion of the protagonist, Merlí. [7] In 2017, he directed his first feature film, Formentera Lady, starring José Sacristán, filmed in Formentera, Denia, Valencia, and Barcelona. [8]
