Paul Craig is an American principal dancer at the Boston Ballet and Circio Collective. [1]
When Craig was six years old, he wanted to begin tap lessons after seeing Gene Kelly perform on television. [2] At ten years old, [2] Craig began dancing at the Conservatory of Dance and the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. [3] As part of the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp's International Exchange Program, Craig traveled to Germany, Italy, and France in 2002. [3]
Later, Craig received the Garold Gardner Scholarships to train at the Virginia School of the Arts. [1] Before graduating, he received the Virginia School of the Arts Merit Award, as well as the Dean's Award. [1]
Craig began training with the Boston Ballet School in 2006. [1]
Craig joined Boston Ballet II in 2007, during which time he traveled to perform in Russia. [3] Craig was subsequently promoted to Corps de Ballet in 2008, Second Soloist in 2014, Soloist in 2015, and Principal in 2017. [1]
Craig has performed in Jacob's Pillow, the Tanglewood Music Festival, the Cape Cod Dance Festival, the Spoleto Festival, the World Ballet Competition Gala, [3] and the American Dance Competition Gala. [1] He has also traveled to perform in South Korea, Spain, Germany, France, Finland, Mexico, England, and Canada. [1]
He is also a production manager with Circio Collective, [1] [4] a contemporary dance company in Boston. With the help of the Circio Collective, Craig choreographed "The Fourth Way" with musician Josh Knowles. [5]
Craig has taught master classes at the Conservatory of Dance in Manistee, Michigan, [6] the Crooked Tree Arts Center in Petoskey, Michigan, and Camp Harbor View, a nonprofit Boston outreach program. [3]

The Minnesota Ballet is a ballet company and school located in Duluth, Minnesota. Founded in 1965 by Donna Harkins and Jan Gibson as the Duluth Civic Ballet, the company has since expanded into a touring company with seventeen professional artists. From 1992 to 2007 the Artistic Executive Director of the Minnesota Ballet was Allen Fields, who retired to become Artistic Director Emirtus. Fields acquired rights to works by master choreographers like Agnes de Mille, Antony Tudor, and George Balanchine. He was succeeded by Robert Gardner. In 2019, Minnesota Ballet welcomed a new Artistic Director, Karl von Rabenau, to lead the company. The Minnesota Ballet is entering its 54th season in 2019/20.
Joan Boada is a Cuban retired ballet dancer, teacher and ballet master. His career started at the Cuban National Ballet, where he was promoted to principal dancer at age 16. He defected to France in 1994, then performed with several companies and as a guest, before joining the San Francisco Ballet as a principal dancer in 1999. After he retired from performing in 2016, he worked as a guest teacher and répétiteur. In 2019, he joined the Spanish National Dance Company as ballet master and choreographic assistant. In 2021, he became the artistic director of both Conservatory Ballet and Kirov Academy of Ballet. In 2022, Boada became the associate director of Boston Ballet II.
Daniil Simkin is a ballet dancer and entrepreneur, best known for his accomplished technical skill and charismatic stage presence. He is a principal dancer with both American Ballet Theatre and Berlin State Ballet. Simkin is based in Berlin and New York, and is the founder of Studio Simkin.

He will return to Boston Ballet in the 2022/23 season.
The New York International Ballet Competition (NYIBC), was a program providing dance education and employment opportunities for young dancers ages 17 to 24. In 1983 Ilona Copen founded NYIBC, with Igor Youskevitch as first artistic director, in order to fill a void and satisfy a need in the global dance ecosystem. Other international ballet competitions existed, but New York City, considered a dance capital of the world, did not have its own.

Mel Alexander Tomlinson was an American dancer and choreographer. At the time of his debut with the New York City Ballet in 1981, he was the only African-American dancer in the company. Ballet choreographer Agnes de Mille referred to Tomlinson as "the most exciting black dancer in America." Throughout his ballet career, he danced with New York City Ballet, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Agnes de Mille Dance Theatre, North Carolina Dance Theatre, and Boston Ballet. In his later life, Tomlinson received a degree from Carolina University of Theology and was ordained as a Baptist minister.
Lauren Lovette is an American ballet dancer and choreographer who was previously a principal dancer with the New York City Ballet.
Chyrstyn Mariah Fentroy is an American ballet dancer. She currently dances as a principal with the Boston Ballet and is a former principal dancer at Dance Theatre of Harlem. When Fentroy joined Boston Ballet in 2017, she was the first African-American female dancer to join the company in a decade.

Ashley Ellis is an American ballet dancer. She joined the American Ballet Theatre in 2002. She danced at Corella Ballet from 2007 to 2010 and then Sarasota Ballet for a year. In 2011, she joined the Boston Ballet, and was promoted to principal dancer in 2013. Ellis retired from performing in 2021.
