Peter Platt (23 January 1883 – 1921) was an English footballer who played as a goalkeeper for Liverpool in The Football League. Platt started his career at Great Harwood as an amateur before he was signed by Blackburn Rovers F.C. He signed for Liverpool in 1902. He became first choice towards the end of the 1902–03 season and started the following as first choice as well. However, he lost his place to Ned Doig who became the club's new starting goalkeeper. He moved to Luton Town F.C. where he played 139 matches for the club from 1905 to 1909. He died at the age of 38 after an illness. [1]
Christopher Edmund Kirkland is an English football coach and former professional goalkeeper who is now the head goalkeeping coach at Colne. As a player, he made 321 league and cup appearances in an 18-year professional career from 1998 to 2016, and won one cap for the English national team in 2006.
Raymond Neal Clemence, was an England international football goalkeeper and part of the Liverpool team of the 1970s. He is one of few players to have made over 1,000 career appearances, and holds the record for the most clean sheets in the history of football (460). Winning three European Cups, five League titles, two UEFA Cups, a UEFA Super Cup, an FA Cup and a League Cup with Liverpool, the last of his 665 appearances for the club was the victorious 1981 European Cup Final. In 1981, after being phased out at Liverpool, Clemence joined Tottenham Hotspur, winning a UEFA Cup, an FA Cup, and a Charity Shield with them, before retiring from football in 1988.
Stephen Alan Harper is an English former professional footballer, and currently first team coach for Newcastle United and goalkeeping coach for the Northern Ireland national team. He is best known for his time playing at Newcastle, having amassed 157 league appearances over a twenty-year period between 1993 and 2013. Although he was not always the first choice goalkeeper at Newcastle, he was the longest-serving player in the club's history.

He was a member of the Middlesbrough team for over a decade often playing on loan at a succession of lower league clubs: Stockport County, Rotherham United, Blackpool and Sheffield Wednesday. He also had a brief loan spell in Ireland with Shelbourne. In August 2010, he made a £2.3 million move to Liverpool where he spent four seasons, mostly in a back-up role. Jones then had two short stints, his final in England at Bradford City and then in the Netherlands at NEC, before joining Feyenoord on a one-year deal in August 2016. On 22 May 2017, he signed for another two years at Feyenoord following their title win in the Dutch Eredivisie.
