Peter James Welsh (24 January 1954 – 18 July 2008) was an Australian rules footballer who played for Hawthorn and Richmond in the Victorian Football League (VFL).
A utility player who was used mainly in the back pocket, Welsh started his VFL career in 1973 with Hawthorn and played in their 1975 Grand Final loss to North Melbourne. He crossed to Richmond in 1980 and was a member of their side which won the premiership that season. Welsh was on occasions pushed forward and kicked 22 goals in 1981.
Welsh died on 18 July 2008 after a long illness. [1] [2] He was the son of Collingwood footballer Bill Welsh. [3]

Luke Hodge is a former Australian rules football player who played with the Hawthorn Football Club and the Brisbane Lions in the Australian Football League (AFL). He played for the Hawthorn Football Club from 2002 to 2017, captaining the club from 2011 to 2016. In 2018, Hodge moved to the Brisbane Lions, before retiring in 2019. Hodge started his career playing on the half-back flank but as his career progressed he has been known to push up into the midfield. He is a four-time premiership player, three-time premiership captain and a two-time Norm Smith Medallist. Hodge is widely regarded as one of the most respected players, in particular as a captain, to have ever participated in the sport. As of 2023, Hodge has played the most VFL/AFL games of any number-one draft pick, is the only number-one draft pick to win a Norm Smith Medal, is one of just three number-one draft picks to have won a premiership, and has won the most premierships of any number-one draft pick (4).

Christopher Newman is the coach of the Box Hill Hawks in the Victorian Football League and a former player with the Richmond Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Mabior Chol is a professional Australian rules footballer who plays for the Hawthorn Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He previously played for the Richmond Football Club and the Gold Coast Suns. He was drafted by Richmond in the 2016 rookie draft and made his debut in round 23, 2016. Chol was delisted by the club in 2018 before being immediately re-rookied in the 2019 rookie draft. In 2019 Chol won a VFL premiership while playing with the Richmond reserves side and again in 2023 while playing for the Gold Coast Suns reserves side. Chol moved from Richmond to Gold Coast as a free agent in October 2021.
