Phù Ninh ( Loudspeaker.svg listen ) is a rural district of Phú Thọ province in the northeastern region of Vietnam. As of 2003 the district had a population of 114,048. [1] The district covers an area of 167 km². The district capital lies at Phong Châu. [1]

Administrative divisions

The district consists of the district capital, Phong Châu, and 18 communes: Trạm Thản, Tiên Phú, Liên Hoa, Vĩnh Phú, Trung Giáp, Bảo Thanh, Trị Quận, Hạ Giáp, Gia Thanh, Phú Nham, Phú Lộc, Tiên Du, Phù Ninh, An Đạo, Tử Đà, Bình Bộ, Phú Mỹ and Lệ Mỹ.

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam established 1930, is the highest authority within the Communist Party of Vietnam elected by the Party National Congresses. The current Central Committee has about 180 full members and 20 alternate members and elects the Politburo of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Hoàng Văn Thái

Hoàng Văn Thái, born Hoàng Văn Xiêm, was a Vietnamese Army General and a communist political figure. His hometown was Tây An, Tiền Hải District, Thái Bình Province. During the Tết Offensive, he was the highest senior North Vietnamese officer in South Vietnam. He was the first chief of staff of the Vietnam People's Army, and was responsible for key military forces in North Vietnam. He was also Chief of Staff in the Battle of Điện Biên Phủ.

Bình Trị Thiên Historic province of Vietnam

Bình Trị Thiên (1975–1992) was a former administrative grouping of three provinces in Vietnam: Quảng Bình, Quảng Trị and Thừa Thiên. The grouping did not work well and was reversed in 1992. The geographical term had been used previously, for example in relation to culture, folk songs (1967) and is still used after, for example in relation to dialect (1997) and folk songs again (1997).
