Pig Destroyer

Pig Destroyer is an American grindcore band formed in 1997 in Alexandria, Virginia. The band was formed by vocalist J.R. Hayes, guitarist Scott Hull, and drummer John Evans. Throughout the band's earlier history, they were a three-piece group until sampler Blake Harrison joined in 2006, notably had no bassist until the inclusion of John Jarvis in 2013, and went through 2 past drummers with the role currently held by Adam Jarvis. Pig Destroyer is one of the most well-known grindcore bands in the genre due to Hayes's poetic lyrics, Hull's incorporation of thrash, punk, and doom influences in songwriting, and technical drum work.

Relapse Records American record label

Relapse Records is an American independent record label based in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. It was founded by Matthew F. Jacobson in 1990. The label features many grindcore, death metal, metalcore and sludge metal artists.

<i>Sawblade</i> (Isis EP) 1999 EP by Isis

The Sawblade EP is a handmade CD-R made by Isis for their tour with Neurosis and Candiria, limited to 200 copies. It was sold at these shows at a limit of 15 per night, and the leftover copies were given to friends of the band as a year-end "thank you" gift. The vinyl run of this release was limited to 250 copies. As such, Aaron Turner doesn't consider this an 'official' Isis release, describing it as “more like a special artifact for us and the few converts we had at the time”.

Aaron Turner

Aaron Turner is an American musician, singer, graphic artist, and founder of label Hydra Head Records. He is most widely known for his role as guitarist and vocalist for the post-metal bands SUMAC and Isis, while also participating in several other bands and projects such as Old Man Gloom, Lotus Eaters and Split Cranium, a collaboration with Jussi Lehtisalo of Finnish band Circle who toured with Isis in 2009.

Isis / Pig Destroyer is a split EP by the bands Pig Destroyer and Isis, released in 2000. The EP features the two bands playing cover songs. It was released on 7" vinyl. Isis' interpretation of "Streetcleaner" was previously released on their Sawblade EP.

Jeff Caxide American bassist

Jeff Caxide is an American bassist, best known for his time with post-metal band Isis, of which he was a founding member and present until its dissolution in 2010. He was also a founding member of Red Sparowes, but left after the release of their first full-length. He also contributed to side-project Spylacopa. Prior to his time in Isis, he was a touring member of the Boston metalcore band 454 Big Block. He also helped found Connecticut-based metalcore band Cable, for whom he played bass. His stay with the band as a musician was brief, but he did return in order to produce 1999's Gutter Queen.

Florian Bertmer is a German illustrator from the hardcore punk, grindcore and metal scene. He has done artwork for bands like Converge, Napalm Death, The Hope Conspiracy, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Pig Destroyer, Doomriders, Kirk Hammett, Lucasfilm, Alamo Drafthouse and others. His early works were reminiscent of Pushead while his later works have become more influenced by Art Nouveau and Occultism. He fronted the band Cheerleaders Of The Apocalypse. He has also created several official movie posters in collaboration with Alamo Drafthouse Cinema and has designed deck art for skateboard companies such as Creature Skateboards or Substance Abuse.

<i>Natasha</i> (EP) 2008 EP by Pig Destroyer

Natasha is an EP by Pig Destroyer, released in 2008 by Relapse Records. The EP consists of a single, unbroken song originally included on special editions of Terrifyer as a DVD. Unlike Pig Destroyer's earlier grindcore material, Natasha showcases the band playing in a sludge/doom style.

Paweł Jaroszewicz

Paweł Jaroszewicz,, is a Polish heavy metal drummer. Jaroszewicz has played with such bands as Interior, Rootwater, Sinful, Vader, Hazael, Thy Disease, Crionics, Deivos, Nerve, Obscure Sphinx, Christ Agony, No Emotions, Hell-Born, Lost Soul, FS Projekt, Decapitated, and Hate. He now plays in Bartłomiej Krysiuk's version of Batushka, Soul Snatcher, and Antigama and is also the current live drummer for Nargaroth and Belphegor.

Destroyer is a Canadian rock band from Vancouver, British Columbia fronted by singer-songwriter Dan Bejar and formed in 1995. The band's discography draws on a variety of musical influences, resulting in albums that can sound markedly distinct from one another; in Bejar's words, "That's kind of my goal: to start from scratch every time."

Mass & Volume is an EP by American grindcore band Pig Destroyer which was released on March 5, 2013 as a digital release and October 14, 2014 as a physical release through Relapse Records. The EP was written and recorded during the final day of the Phantom Limb sessions. It is dedicated to the memory of Pat Egan, a member of the Relapse Records family who died on February 18, 2013. All proceeds from the sale of the record were donated to Egan's daughter's college fund.

Anima Morte is an instrumental progressive rock band formed in Stockholm, Sweden 2004 by Fredrik Klingwall. Influenced by Goblin, Fabio Frizzi and other composers of the Italian giallo and zombie movies of the seventies and eighties. The group makes heavy use of authentic instruments from the era such as mellotron and analogue synthesizers.
