Pinewood Studio Berlin is a partnership between The Pinewood Studios Group and Studio Hamburg GmbH. The venture provides film production services and first class film and TV stages (ranging from 6,481 sq ft to 25,900 sq ft) to European and international filmmakers, making it easier to take advantage of the benefits of filming in Germany.

History

On 17 February 2011, the 50/50 joint venture was announced to the public. Pinewood Studio Berlin was set up to market existing studio facilities owned by Studio Hamburg GmbH in both Hamburg and Berlin and also to provide a full range of production services for inward investment films, effectively working as a co-producer. The Pinewood Studios Group

The Pinewood Studios Group is made up of several film studios across the globe including Pinewood, Shepperton and Teddington Studios in the UK, and Pinewood Toronto Studios in Canada, Pinewood Indomina Studios in the Dominican Republic, Pinewood Studio Berlin in Germany and Pinewood Iskandar Malaysia Studios in Malaysia.

Pinewood Studios British film studio and television studio situated in Iver Heath, Buckinghamshire, England

Pinewood Studios is a British film and television studio located in Iver Heath, Buckinghamshire, about 4 miles (6.4 km) from Slough, 2 miles (3.2 km) from Uxbridge, and approximately 17 miles (27 km) west of central London.

Shepperton Studios

Shepperton Studios is a film studio located in Shepperton, Surrey, England with a history dating back to 1931. It is now part of the Pinewood Studios Group. During its early existence the studio was branded as Sound City.

Teddington Studios

Teddington Studios was a large British television studio in Teddington, London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, providing studio facilities for programmes airing on the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, Sky1 and others. The complex also provided studio space for channel continuity. The site was run by the Pinewood Studios Group.

Studio Hamburg GmbH

Studio Hamburg GmbH is Germany’s leading production and service centre for film and television. Founded in 1947 in the city of Hamburg, today the company is the corporate headquarters for a nationally operating network of stage and studio space, Atelier and Technology, Production and Distribution, Consulting and Services. Along with production accommodation and workshops, there are ten stages in Berlin and eleven in Hamburg ranging in size between 6,000 sq ft to just over 26,000 sq ft.

The Albert R. Broccoli 007 Stage is one of the largest sound stages in the world. It is located at Pinewood Studios, Iver Heath, Buckinghamshire, England, and named after James Bond film producer Albert R. "Cubby" Broccoli.

Hartmut Mehdorn German manager and CEO

Hartmut Mehdorn is a German manager and mechanical engineer. Until May 2009 he served as CEO of Deutsche Bahn AG, Germany's biggest railway company. He served as CEO of Germany's second largest airline Air Berlin until he stepped down in January 2013. In March 2013 he assumed a CEO position at Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH (FBB), the owner and future operator of Berlin Brandenburg Airport, until March 2015.

Pinewood Toronto Studios filming location

Pinewood Toronto Studios is a major film and television studio complex in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and is the largest of its kind in Canada. It is the first in Toronto capable of accommodating the production of large-scale films. The studio is named for UK-based The Pinewood Studios Group. In March 2018, it was announced that Bell Media would be buying a controlling stake in the studio.

Hamburg-Köln-Express railway company

Hamburg-Köln-Express GmbH (HKX) was a Cologne-based open-access train operating company providing long-distance railway passenger services in Germany. It was founded in October 2009 as a joint venture by Railroad Development Corporation (RDC) Deutschland GmbH, an affiliate of USA-based Railroad Development Corp., Locomore rail GmbH & CO. KG, and British railway investor Michael Schabas.

The rail vehicle factory in Hennigsdorf, Germany, was founded in 1910 by AEG. Locomotive production began in 1913, and in the 1930s absorbed the work of the August Borsig locomotive factory, being renamed the Borsig Lokomotiv Werke GmbH until 1944.
