Abdul Kader Siddique is a Bangladeshi politician. He is popularly known under the title of Bangabir. He served as a Mukti Bahini member and organizer of the Bangladesh Liberation War. He fought with an estimated 17,000-strong guerrilla force in the Tangail region against the Pakistan Army. The army was called Kaderia Bahini. At the end of the war, on 16 December 1971, Siddique's forces entered Dhaka along with the Indian forces, signaling the end of the war. He was awarded Bir Uttom by the Government of Bangladesh. Since 1999, he has been serving as the leader of his own-formed party Krishak Sramik Janata League.

Police Training Centres (PTC) in Bangladesh were initially established in 1972 as Zonal Police Training Schools (ZPTS) to impart training mainly to Trainee Recruit Constables (TRC) of Bangladesh Police. With the course of time for meeting up the need of recruiting and training huge constables and different level officers as well as staffs, those schools were not found sufficiently equipped. So it became the demand of the time to upgrade those training institutes. On this backdrop, the facilities and capacities of those schools were further developed in 1992. They were upgraded as Police Training Centers. Those training centers are training a lot more like- Armed Police Battalion, Staffs, the Security Personnel of Forest Division, Boatmen, Gardeners, Laskars, Head Constables etc. in addition to impart training to only fresh recruit constables.
Textile schools in Bangladesh offer various academic and professional degrees in textile fields. A number of colleges and technical institutes as well as some universities offer diploma, bachelor's and master's degree from their allocated faculties upon completion of certification courses. Textile courses offered in these schools include spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing, printing, finishing, apparels merchandising and fashion designing. Tangail Airport is an airstrip in Tangail city, Bangladesh. The airport was built in 1967 to serve Tangail District and other nearby districts, mainly for agricultural purposes. Several cargo airbuses were used in the 1970s to spread pesticides in local paddy fields. The airport has remained unmaintained since 1976 due to the local administration's negligence. Tangail airport has been used for Bangladesh Air Force training.
Tangail District is quite famous for its zamindari rule with three of the largest zamindars in the region believed to have been established during the Mughal period. In addition, several small zamindar classes developed in this area, whose reputation is still evident. One of such zamindar is Mohera Zamindar Bari. Mohera Zamindar Bari is a 19th-century Zamidari residence in Mirzapur, Tangail District, Bangladesh. It is used as a police training school. The zamindar house was established in the mirzapur before the 1890s. Mohera zamindar Bari is the most preserved and maintained zamindari Bari of Bangladesh locally. There is no such zamindari Bari as preserved and maintained as it is in the country. The zamindari Bari represents our culture, lifestyle, and history during British time.
